STARGATE - SG-1 SEASON 4(1997)

After the movie did so well, the powers that be decided
what the heck, let's try doing a TV show! They couldn't
get either Kurt Russell or James Spader, so they went
out and got RDA & Michael Shanks(a fairly uknown actor)
to take their places! It was a great choice!! Let's face
it, Richard Deen Anderson was already an icon on TV with
MacGyver, and this did nothing but solidify his place as
a TV icon!

Along with them are Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge
and together(for most of the series) make a wonderful team,
with great stories and very good F/X! This is a great series!

Incedibly hard to do, to follow up the excellent movie with
more excellence, but somehow they did it!

EPISODE 1: SMALL VICTORIES(June 30, 2000):

Continuing from the last episode of Season 3, the team,
along with the Asgards, are trying to defeat the Replicators! B

EPISODE 2: THE OTHER SIDE(July 07, 2000):

The Star Gate crew get a call for help from apparently
some decendents of Earth!

Starring: Rene Auberjonois(Star Trek: DS9)! A

EPISODE 3: UPGRADES(July 14, 2000):

A Tok'ra comes though the gate and offers a new
device that turns the humans(Jack, Daniel and
Amanda) into super humans! What could possibly go
wrong?!?! A

EPISODE 4: CROSSROADS(July 21, 2000):

An old flame of Teal'c's show up and says
that she must find a new host for her sybiot,
or she'll die!! B

EPISODE 5: DEVIDE AND CONQUER(July 28, 2000):

During an attempt to sign a treaty between Earth
and the Tok'ra, the SGC team learn of a new abitlity
for the Zo'trac to turn allies into assassins! A

EPISODE 6: WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY(Aug. 04, 2000):

The series' "Groundhog Day" episode!! Very fun!! A+

EPISODE 7: WATERGATE(Aug. 11, 2000):

Welp, we all knew if we had one, the other guys
would have one too! And they find out about it
when ours wouldn't work!!

BTW, the tittle stands for where the Stargate is,
not the Washington building!

Guest starring: Mirina Sirtis(Star Trek: TNG)! A+

EPISODE 8: THE FIRST ONES(Aug. 18, 2000):

While at the Goa'uld homeworld, the group gets
sepparated and Daniel makes a new "friend"!! B+

EPISODE 9: SCORCHED EARTH(Aug. 25, 2000):

The crew go to the planet where they helped the
Enkaren start a new life for a celebration, but
they find that they are in danger of being destroyed
by another race who are terraforming the planet for
their people! A

EPISODE 10: BENEATH THE SURFACE(Sept. 01, 2000):

Nothing more than a prison show which I detest!! D+

EPISODE 11: POINT OF NO RETURN(Sept. 08, 1999):

The SGC gets a call from "Marty" who says he knows all
about them and the Star Gate!! A very interesting
episode!! A

EPISODE 12: TANGENT(Sept. 15, 2000):

Teal'c and Jack take a test ride in a new ship
designed with Goa'uld tech and parts!! What
could possibly go wrong!! A

EPISODE 13: THE CURSE(Sept. 22, 2000):

Ok, sci-fi writers should probably stick to the
genre and stay away from mystery! I could see this
coming from the first 5 minutes! Anyway, some artifacts
are stolen from the university where Daniel's former
professor is tenured, and he, along with several others
are killed! B+

EPISODE 14: THE SERPENT'S VENOM(Sept. 29, 2000):

While on his home planet, Teal'c is betrayed by
one of his "friends" and given over to Terok, known
as "the torturer of system lord Heru'ur"! A

EPISODE 15: CHAIN REACTION(Jan. 05,2001):

The general retires(he's being blackmailed),
and the new commander of the SGC is shaking
things up by dibanding the SG-1 team and
putting them in different roles!!

Guest starring a returning Ronny Cox! A-

EPISODE 16: 2010(Jan. 12, 2001):

So, as the title of the episode indicates, the
year is 2010 and the humans have made an alliance
with another race called Aschen, who are advanced
technologically to the humans! The results are long
reaching: the way that the Aschen achieved the vaccine
to not only stop aging, but restoring health to all!
Only one problem, the side affects here is that the
vaccine keeps women from being able to have children,
basically meaning the end of the human race!!

Guest starring a returning Ronny Cox! A

EPISODE 18: ABSOLUTE POWER(Jan. 19, 2001):

The "Chosen Boy" from the episode from season 3
"Maternal Instinct" shows up again, this time he
is "helping" Earth to defend against the Gao'uld!
Things get strange when Daniel starts acting wierd!

Guest Starring: Erick Avari returns! A

EPISODE 17: THE LIGHT(Jan. 26, 2001):

A rash of suicides are going on at the SGC, all
of them centered around SG-5's visit to a planet
that had been a Gao'uld stronghold up to about
200 hundred years previous!

For personal reasons my rating on this will be
the lowest of the series!! F-

EPISODE 19: PRODIGY(Feb. 02, 2001):

While trying to observe a new planet, the MALP
suddenly flies off, and then there's an attack
on the computer systems, then on Carter herself! B+

EPISODE 20: ENTITY(Feb. 09, 2001):

The team go on a hunt for Harcesis on a planet
here-to-for unknown to the Stargate group! A

EPISODE 21: DOUBLE JEOPARDY(Feb. 16, 2001):

This is actually very interesting, where-in the
robot doubles of the SG-1 team are on a planet
formerly visited by the real team and find themselves
less than welcome! A

EPISODE 22: EXODUS(Feb. 23, 2001):

Bottom line: Teal'c's captured or killed, and
the rest of the team are in a galaxie far far
away!!

Last episode of the season!

AAAAAAANNNNNDDDDD another fucking cliffhanger!! B

AUDIO COMMENTARIES

From an IMDb.com customer:

I love this series, and every one of the Stargate
series. I started watching in season 7, but quickly
went back and binged every episode on DVD (netflix
wasn't a thing yet). I now own all of SG1 and SGA.
I've watched every episode of SG1 at least 5 times,
SGA about 3 times, and SGU about twice. I think
I'm pretty much obsessed with this series. - captjack-29256
