THE CLOSER SEASON 2 PAGE

THE CLOSER SEASON 2

This stars Kyra Sedgewick as a overly hard as nails
Deputy Chief of homicide!! This carries on the mood
from the first season with Kyra still very hard to like!!
But still the other cast members make this palatable!!

There's much bickering amongst the police ranks as one
of their own is found in a warehouse dead, along side
of the apparent killer!! B-

EPISODE # 2: MOM DUTY(June 19, 2006):

Brenda's mother comes to town for a funeral for one of
her aunts!! This puts not only her, but her new live in
boyfriend on the spot!! As for the case, while waiting
for a verdict in a big case, one of the jurors drops dead
of a heart attack!! A-

EPISODE # 3: SLIPPIN'(June 26, 2006):

A young couple and a friend are killed in a gang related
shooting!! The group has to unravel the whole mess to

A chef at a posh restaurant is stabbed to death and there
are many suspects, including John Billingsly(Star Trek:
Enterprise's Dr. Phlox!!)! A

EPISODE # 5: TO PROTECT AND SERVE(July 10, 2006):

This is pretty fun really, as a dead body is discovered by
Provenza and Taylor in Provenza's garage!! They have box
seat tickets for a Dodger game and figure they can just go
to the game then come back to solve the issue! Only problem
is, the body has disappeared while they were gone!! A

EPISODE # 6: OUT OF FOCUS(July 17, 2008):

At a posh hotel for the very rich and/or famous, a paparazzo
is found dead, an apparent suicide victim!! Further investigation
proves otherwise!! A

EPISODE # 7: HEAD OVER HEELS(July 24, 2006):

A head and pair of feet are discovered in a dumpster outside
a restaurant that Johnson and Flynn are eating at!! After some
sleuthing it's discovered that they belong to a porn star!! A

EPISODE # 8: CRITICAL MISSING(July 31, 2006):

A woman and child are found strapped together in the bay
and it looks like a murder/suicide!! Further investigation
reveals something much worse!! A

EPISODE # 9: HEROIC MEASURES(Aug. 7, 2006):

A woman's son dies on an operating table, and she accuses
them of murder!! Some pretty bizarre twists in this one!! A

EPISODE # 10: THE OTHER WOMAN(Aug. 14, 2006):

Johnson is asked by her boss to be a character witness in his
divorce case! Meanwhile, a meth addict is found dead in a
home by a mailman and the crew are called in to solve it! A

EPISODE # 11: BORDERLINE(Aug. 21, 2006):

This one is about running illegals to the US from Mexico and
one in particular that goes very bad!! A

EPISODE # 12: NO GOOD DEED(Aug. 28, 2006):

Johnson is confronted by Pope's ex in a very combative way!!
Meanwhile, a new witness comes forward in an old murder
case where the accused is slated for the death penalty!! A

EPISODE # 14: SERVING THE KING PT. 1(Dec. 4, 2006)

EPISODE # 15: SERVING THE KING PT. 2(Dec. 4, 2006)

After the events of the last episode, Johnson, Provenza & Taylor
are put on administrative leave!! This of course doesn't sit well
with any of them!! But Johnson is approached by an old CIA boss
who asks her for some help in a espionage case, promising to
get her and her crew back to work if she solves it!! A

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:

This show caught my attention on Netflix because Kyra
Sedgwick is so peculiar in the first season I had to see it
through. Watching her eat her ding dong in episode 1
= the same in season 1's finale, and in conjunction with
her character showing what I consider some dynamic
acting ability in becoming Brenda the flake who may
border on genius in her job lacks in the personal
relations department tremendously.

After 3 seasons though I think it is a good show that
I'm assuming will grow since it ran for as many seasons
as it did. I will likely update this review when I've seen
the whole series as who knows where it might land. If
each season simply plods along where we are I will
downgrade my rating as there is plenty of room for
growth. But how they achieve it will determine that
and I have to experience it to rate it.

So far I think the show is good and has moments of
showing potential for better but will just have to hope
to enjoy the ride as I watch the rest of the seasons
(hopefully!). But if your pondering watching it, do
so, it is what having Amazon Prime worth the money
(getting to watch the prime video movies and shows
for a price competitive with Netflix but higher quality
and more dependable). - scott_weishaar
