THE MENTALIST SEASON 1
This series is about a guy named Patrick Jane(played by
Simon Baker) who use to make his living as a psychic who's
wife and son were killed by a serial killer because he was
trying to help the police find him, using his "psychic" abilities!
Kind of a Phych type show, 'cept very serious, although there
is humor sprinkled around in it! Very interesting premise for
a series and very good!!
EPISODE # 1: PILOT(Sept. 23, 2008):
A double homicide by "Red John", the same man who
killed Patrick's family!! Or at least that's the way it
looks to the police!! A
EPISODE # 2: RED HAIR AND SILVER TAPE(Sept. 30, 2008):
A young woman is found dead in a trough in a corn field
and the hunt is on for the killer!! The obvious suspect
is her boyfriend, but of course Patrick has other ideas! A
EPISODE # 3: RED TIDE(Oct. 14, 2008):
A young girl comes across a teenager on the beach as she's
playing who has been killed!! It appears on the surface
like n surfing accident! However, after a little digging
it turn out that she died elsewhere and was dumped on
the beach! A
EPISODE # 4: LADIES IN RED(Oct. 21, 2008):
A "rich" man is tortured then killed!! He's found behind
a secret door which Patrick discovered!! There are
apparently no clear cut suspects, but Patrick has his
own ideas who's guilty!! A
EPISODE # 5: REDWOOD(Oct. 28, 2008):
Two girls are missing in a rural area, and the crew is there
trying to find answers!! One of the girls is found dead, the
other turns up covered in blood carrying a knife, acting like
she has amnesia!! Jane doesn't believe she did it!! A
EPISODE # 6: RED HANDED(Nov. 11, 2008):
A hand is found on the California/Nevada border on a fairly
desolate highway!! The case: find out who it belonged to,
if they are still alive, and why is it on a highway!! This is set
in "Las Vegas"!!! (Obviously not really!!!) A
EPISODE # 7: SEEING RED(Nov. 18, 2008):
A woman comes out of a psychic as she's being warned that
she's in danger!! A few minutes later, she's run down on the
sidewalk!! A
EPISODE # 8: THIN RED LINE(Nov. 25, 2008):
An informant and a woman are found dead in an apartment
and the group are there to investigate getting blocked at every
turn by the local police!! Many twists and turns here!! A
EPISODE # 9: FLAME RED(Dec. 2, 2008):
A former guardsman is burned alive in his own barn!!
This is the second such death in the town!! The wife of
this one is having an affair with another guardsman in
the town! What a tangled web!!! A
EPISODE # 10: RED BRICK AND IVY(Dec. 16, 2008):
A friend(and former doctor) of Patrick's is thought of as
a "person of interest" in a murder of a coleague and former
lover of hers!! Patrick comes to the aid!! A
EPISODE # 11: RED JOHN'S FRIENDS(Jan. 6, 2009):
A man convicted of killing his young lover, found in a locked
room together, contacts Patrick about his innocence and the
fact that he has information about Red John!! And he'll share
it if Patrick will prove his innocence!! A
EPISODE # 12: RED RUM(Jan. 13, 2009):
A teen boy is found dead in the woods near a town and
all clues lead to the local witch!! A
EPISODE # 13: PAINT IT RED(Jan. 18, 2009)
A painting is stolen and a business man's son-in-law murdered!!
Many suspects, many questions!!! A
EPISODE # 14: CRIMSON CASANOVA(Feb. 10, 2009):
Rich dude's wife is having an affair!! Rich dude's wife is killed!!
Rich dude's wife's lover is shot along with her, but not killed
and the group finds him, and thus starts the investigation!! A
EPISODE # 15: SCARLETT FEVER(Feb. 17, 2009):
A rich woman is killed, poisoned!! The first suspect is the
husband, then the accountant, then------!! A
EPISODE # 16: BLOODSHOT(Mar. 17, 2009):
Jane gets a text about a large bomb in the area!! They find it
just before it goes off, catching him in the blast and making
him blind!! On a guy in the bombed vehicle, a message that
says "your next" on him!!! A
EPISODE # 17: CARNELIAN INC.(Mar. 24, 2009):
The crew gets wind of an e-mail sent to the governor's office
saying that a man worthy of it will be killed at 11:05 at a particular
latitude and longitude!! This happens to be in the desert, and there
seems to no possible way that this could be true, till-----!! A
EPISODE # 18: RUSSET POTATOES(Mar. 31, 2009):
A man comes into the office dragging a bag of potatoes!!
OK, not really, there's a dead girl in the bag, but he believes
it's potatoes!! Thus starts a case involving hypnotists!!! A
EPISODE # 19: A DOZEN RED ROSES(Apr. 7, 2009):
The husband of a female star is killed!! He was financing a
movie that was to star his wife!! As usual, many clues, many
suspects!! A
EPISODE # 20: RED SAUCE(Apr. 28, 2009):
This starts out with a star witness being killed while running
amok!! The crew gets involved, with Patrick using his golfing
connections to track down the culprit!! A
EPISODE # 21: MISS RED(May 5, 2009):
It's the same old story!! Man starts a small internet business with
a friend in their garage, business grows ridiculously, man gets
killed!! Many suspects!! A
EPISODE # 22: BLOOD BROTHERS(May 12, 2009):
A student at a school camp for troubled youths is found dead
after having escaped from being buried alive!! There seems to
be no love lost between the students, the councilor & the
local constabulary!!! A
EPISODE # 23: RED JOHN'S FOOTSTEPS(May 19, 2009):
Last show of season, this brings back Red John to the fold!!
Twins are missing!! One is found dead in the style of Red John!
A plane flies overhead making a happy face in the sky again in
the style of Red John!! But, is it really??? A

When The Mentalist first premiered, I wasn't too
sure how long a show about a fake psychic would
last...but I'm so happy they never touched it and
let it run as long as it did.
"Cho" has always been my favorite due to the 'stare'
he gives stupid people. :) I'm hoping a spin off follows
that brings Van Pelt & Rigsby back - maybe their
quick cameo in the final show is a hint?? Gotta have
Wylie to bring in that 'virginistic' tech dude vibe...and
there is someone female that I wish could come back,
but can't (no spoilers!). She would've been worth
watching working side by side with Cho.
I'll definitely miss this show and can't wait to see
what everyone's up to throughout the year. - jen_marien
