THE MENTALIST SEASON 2
This series is about a guy named Patrick Jane(played by
Simon Baker) who use to make his living as a psychic who's
wife and son were killed by a serial killer because he was
trying to help the police find him, using his "psychic" abilities!
Kind of a Phych type show, 'cept very serious, although there
is humor sprinkled around in it! Very interesting premise for
a series and very good!!
EPISODE # 1: REDEMPTION(Sept. 24, 2009):
The Red John case has been taken away from the team and
given to another agent, Sam Bosco!! Meanwhile, a rich woman
is killed and the team is on the job!! A
EPISODE # 2: THE SCARLET LETTER(Oct. 1, 2009):
A young senator's aid is found dead below the Sacramento
bridge and at first it looks like a suicide! But as the detectives
dig deeper, it appears that there are a few suspects in what
becomes a murder case!! A
EPISODE # 3: RED BADGE(Oct. 8, 2009):
A man who was convicted as a sex offender is let out of
prison, and promptly gets offed!! All clues point to Lisbon!! A
EPISODE # 4: RED MENACE(Oct. 15, 2009):
An attorney for a biker club gets killed and there are many
suspects, including several of the bikers!! A
EPISODE # 5: RED SCARE(Oct. 29, 2009):
Rigsby finally confesses his feelings for Van Pelt!! And there's
a homicide in a haunted mansion!! A
EPISODE # 6: BLACK GOLD AND RED BLOOD(Nov. 5, 2009):
While in jail for planting the bug in Bosco's office, Patrick still
can solve a case!! And while there he helps out a couple of inmates
to boot!! A
EPISODE # 7: RED BULLS(Nov. 12, 2009):
In a kidnapping case, the group is brought together with Bosco's
team to help solve not only it, but one that happened several years
before!! A
EPISODE # 8: HIS RED RIGHT HAND(Nov. 19, 2009):
The case about Red John just gets personal for the whole police
force when his accomplice attacks the office and several of the
officers there get killed!! A
EPISODE # 9: A PRICE ABOVE RUBIES(Dec. 10, 2009):
While at a benefit for the police, a wealthy family has it's
safe broken into and a lot of jewels stolen, as well as one
of the family members getting seriously injured!! A
EPISODE # 10: THROWING FIRE(Dec. 17, 2009):
A baseball scout gets killed and the crew is called in to find
out what's up!! While at the training field, Patrick gets nailed by
a baseball and starts having flashbacks to his childhood!! A
EPISODE # 11: ROSE-COLORED GLASSES(Jan. 14, 2010):
A man and woman are found shot in their car in the middle
of nowhere!! Investigation shows they were headed to their
15th year class reunion, and the group goes there to find out
more!! A
EPISODE # 12: BLEEDING HEART(Jan. 24, 2010):
The body of an aide to the Mayor is found at a ground breaking
ceremony for the city!! Suspects include the Mayor, another
aide and a masked dude trying to stop the construction!! A
EPISODE # 13: REDLINE(Feb. 4, 2010)
While car shopping for the filthy rich, a salesman discovers the
body of a co-worker in the trunk!! A
EPISODE # 14: BLOOD IN, BLOOD OUT(Feb. 11, 2010):
In the "who knew" department, it appears that Cho is a one
time gang banger!! This comes out when a former friend of
his that ran with the same gang in San Francisco gets released
from prison, then gets promptly killed!! Cho seems profoundly
disinterested!! A
EPISODE # 15: RED HERRING(Mar. 4, 2010):
A show about top chefs competing for $100,000 turns out to
cook up more than food, as one of the participants ends up
dead while serving his delicacy!! Now that's food gone bad!!! A
EPISODE # 16: CODE RED(Mar. 11, 2010):
A scientist working in a lab dealing with deadly toxins calls
Patrick saying that she's just been murdered!! She was in
a containment area where one of the toxins has been released! A
EPISODE # 17: THE RED BOX(Apr. 1, 2010):
With a new head at the "CBI", heads are on the block as she
is a real no-nonsense kind of gal!! She tells Patrick that he's
"indispensable", while Lisbon isn't, and that Rigsby and
Van Pelt need to either break up their relationship, or one of
them needs to be transferred!! Meanwhile, in the "what the
episode is about" department, "Cleopatra's Ring" has been
stolen and traced to California, and one of the main suspects
has been killed!! A
EPISODE # 18: AINGAVITE BAA(Apr. 8, 2010):
A woman is found wandering the street which leads the
team to where a man and woman are murdered, along with
two others which brings the team to an Indian reservation
where the people there are less than helpful!! A
EPISODE # 19: BLOOD MONEY(Apr. 22, 2010):
A killer walks after Patrick steps a little too far out of line
in a case that involves the district attorney!! But this doesn't
stop him from pursuing the case further, even though Lisbon
is put on leave for a week!! A
EPISODE # 20: RED ALL OVER(Apr. 29, 2010):
An up and coming man who's going to be dubbed the new CEO
of a large corporation is killed at the celebration to reveal the
news!! Many suspects, including a leader of a cult(played by
the James T. Kirk killer himself, Malcolm McDowell!!) and several
family members!! A
EPISODE # 21: 18-5-4(May 6, 2010):
A scientific genius is killed by, of course, a CLOWN!! Turns out
he was working on a project for a dude that would be a universal
decoder!! There are several suspects here!! A
EPISODE # 22: RED LETTER(May 13, 2010):
A dude fighting for stopping human trafficking is murdered just
before he was to give a big speech naming names!! This brings
in the "psychic" Kristina Frye to to fray!! A
EPISODE # 23: RED SKY IN THE MORNING(May 20, 2010):
Last show of season, this brings back Red John to the fold!!
This one has actually a copy cat doing what Red does best,
and it's up to Patrick and company(but mostly Patrick) to
come up with answers!!
I have a clue at this point who I think Red John is, but it will
be interesting to find out if I'm right! A

When The Mentalist first premiered, I wasn't too
sure how long a show about a fake psychic would
last...but I'm so happy they never touched it and
let it run as long as it did.
"Cho" has always been my favorite due to the 'stare'
he gives stupid people. :) I'm hoping a spin off follows
that brings Van Pelt & Rigsby back - maybe their
quick cameo in the final show is a hint?? Gotta have
Wylie to bring in that 'virginistic' tech dude vibe...and
there is someone female that I wish could come back,
but can't (no spoilers!). She would've been worth
watching working side by side with Cho.
I'll definitely miss this show and can't wait to see
what everyone's up to throughout the year. - jen_marien
