7 stars because that's where the season should have stopped
I'm re-watching the office for the second time. In watching
the episodes, it's become clearer to me the series should have
ended at season 7. When Steve Carrell left, the show wasn't
the same.
I don't like Ed Helms. He was funny in The Hangover movies but
that's it. Anything else I've seen him in, he's annoying and
not funny. The same thing applies to this series. He was annoying
from the start.
The character of Nellie is even more annoying and I wish the
writers never introduced her or made her part of the cast. Her
annoying accent and pompous attitude make seasons 8 and 9 hard
to watch.
I don't even know how to describe James Spader's character of
Robert. He is dull and unfunny.
Still though The Office is classic. Just wish season 8 and 9
