THE PRACTICE SEASON 8
The great James Spader(Stargate[movie], Boston Legal)
is new to this series with the first episode of this,
the final season!!
Having not watched any of the series before, I have no
pre-concieved idea how good, or not good, this is!
EPISODE # 1: WE THE PEOPLE(Sept. 28, 2003):
The defendents: a homeless man is being sued for kissing
a woman without consent; a man is up for murder of his
wife; & a woman is up for the murder of a drug dealer!
If the rest of the season is as good as this, I may very
well by the whole series!

EPISODE # 2: THE CHOSEN(Oct. 05, 2003):
The defendents: the man who's up for murder returns, a
very weird woman is fired and Alan is trying to get an
illegal termination settlement for her!

EPISODE # 3: CAUSE OF ACTION(Oct. 12, 2003):
Continuing from the previous episode: With the man's
daughter now in custody because of confessing to the
murder of her mother, the man that got off now wants
the team to get her off; now stuck with the woman that
Alan got a settlement for, the firm has to find a way
to get her out of the office; a man who cought his wife
and best friend in bed together asks for help!

EPISODE # 4: BLESSED ARE THEY(Oct. 19, 2003):
The man from the previous episode with the wife/friend
issue now needs a lawyer to defend him from a murder
charge; the woman who's nuts is still with the firm;
the man who killed his wife and unborn son is out and
after Ellenore! B
EPISODE # 5: THE HEAT OF PASSION(Oct. 26, 2003):
The nutty woman is gone, for now; still dealing with the
man who murdered his wife and best friend; and a prejudiced
man is in jail for ordering one of his deciples to kill
a man; an overweight woman gets kicked off a plane! B
EPISODE # 6: THE LONELY PEOPLE(Nov. 02, 2003):
Still defending the racist which goes to show just how
far racism go into a person; a man kills his wife and
his best friend as they have become lovers!! B
EPISODE # 7: RAPE SHIELD(Nov. 09, 2003):
Jimmy is appointed to represent a man charged with rape
and does a piss poor job of it; Alan's scheme of helping
the woman on the plane gets busted! B
EPISODE # 8: CONCEALING EVIDENCE(Nov. 23, 2003):
A man runs into the office and asks for a lawyer while
holding a knife; a woman is suing a pharmacutical company
over the suicide death of her husband!

EPISODE # 9: VICTIMS' RIGHTS(Nov. 30, 2003):
Alan offers to represent a 12 year old girl who asks
for assylum, trying to stop herself from being married
off; a man's wife is murdered, being stabbed over 30
times, and he comes to the firm to get help! B
EPISODE # 10: EQUAL JUSTICE(Dec. 07, 2003):
Alan gets shanghied into representing a drug dealer for
murder; an asian man is suing for damages for having been
blown up in a bathroom from lighting a cigarette in it
because of recently being painted!! B
EPISODE # 11: POLICE STATE(Jan. 11, 2003):
A cop is killed and there's questions about the police's
tactics on gettting the perp! B
EPISODE # 12: AVENGING ANGELS(Jan. 18, 2004):
A man whose daughter was killed when a fire was set on the
wrong house; an old friend of Alan's finds out his wife is
cheating and wants revenge!!

Alan and Tara get fired, and now it's an all out war;
a woman protesting at during a motorcade drive-by hits
an officer who's trying to move her to a "protest zone"!

with underdogs and losers, and that's the lawyers!!
The clients to be fair are pretty much the same.
This win one for the little people element is what
makes the show work along with some nice moments of
quirkiness.
Very enjoyable series and a nice warm up for the
more irreverent Boston Legal :) - damianphelps
