THE PRETENDER SEASON 2

First things first, this is presented on DVD in the absolute
worst presentation there is: double sided discs!! Talk about
the best way to damage the discs, this is it!

EPISODE # 1: BACK FROM THE DEAD, AGAIN(Nov. 01, 1997):

Two new members of the "centre" are now in charge of the whole
operation, with Ms. Parker's father MIA!! Like most of the other
characters in this series, neither are likable!!

Jarod is a instructor in a medical school trying to find out
what happened to young man who disappeared! All centered
around Holloween! A

EPISODE # 2: SCOTT FREE(Nov. 08, 1997):

Jarod takes the place of a safecracker to try to help a
parolee trying to go straight whose son has been kidnapped!! A

EPISODE # 3: OVER THE EDGE(Nov. 15, 1997):

A rescue worker gets badly injured and can't remember
what happened! Jarod joins the crew that he works for
to find answers!! A

EPISODE # 4: EXPOSED(Nov. 22, 1997):

High class photography going on here, and one of the
models has disappeared after a stalker has been harrassing
her! B+

EPISODE # 5: NIP AND TUCK(Dec. 06, 1997):

Jarod plays with boobs in this one! Ok, he becomes a
plasctic surgeon, trying to find out what happened to
make a girl who came in for a simple opperation end up
horribly disfigured!! A

EPISODE # 6: PAST SIM(Dec. 13, 1997):

A woman who's witness to the murder of a boy gets kidnapped
the day before the trial, using a method thought up by Jarod
at the Centre!! He is NOT happy!!! A-

EPISODE # 7: COLLATERAL DAMAGE(Jan. 03, 1998):

Jarod is on the warpath to clear the name of a soldier
who was tagged as a traitor and selling information to
the Viet Cong in 1972!!!

Guest staarring here are Venessa Williams and Danial Dae
Kim! B+

EPISODE # 8: HAZARDS(Jan. 10, 1998):

Jarod is tracking down the reason for a man trying to
kill himself! It has to do with toxic waste disposal!

Guest starring Theodore Bikel! A

EPISODE # 9: F/X(Jan. 17, 1998):

A man is horribly disfigured when a special effects stunt
goes awry! Jarod is determined to find the answers! A

EPISODE # 10: INDY SHOW(Jan. 30, 1998):

Jarod's at a race track trying to find out what happened
when a race car crashes!!

Guest starring here are Mario and Michael Andretti! A

EPISODE # 11: GIGALO JAROD(Feb. 07, 1998):

Jarod's now a gigalo, actually more like a pimp! He's
trying to find out what happened to a young boy who
fell from a building that the operator of the business
that Jarod's working for wants so she can build a high
rise!! B

EPISODE # 12: TOY SURPRISE(Mar. 07, 1998):

This one is more about Ms. Parker than Jarod! Parker is
trapped in the Centre while her father is on his way back
not knowing that a bomb is triggered to go off when he
arrives! Jarod, meanwhile, is trying to help a young man
deal with the loss of a close friend who died in an
accident, blaming himself for not saving him! A

EPISODE # 13: A STAND-UP GUY(Mar. 14, 1998):

Jarond's now an FBI agent on the hunt for a cop killer! C

EPISODE # 14: AMNESIA(UNFORGOTTEN)(Mar. 21, 1998):

Jarod gets amnesia and the other three at the Centre are
put in a jail and interrogated by the other bad guys! B

EPISODE # 15: BULLETPROOF(Mar. 28, 1998):

Jarod is now with a SWAT team to try to find the truth
about what happened to one of their officers! Alo, Jarod
tips Sydney off about a son he doesn't know about! A

EPISODE # 16: SILENCE(Apr. 04, 1998):

Jarod is trying to help out a boy who witnessed a DEA
death but it seems no one in the DEA wants answers!! A

EPISODE # 17: CRASH(Apr. 11, 1998):

Jarod swaps seats on a flight and the plane crashes, killing
him and several other people! Jarod is understandably shaken
and proceeds to find out what caused the accident! Also, Jarod
sends the team to a class reunion where they discover - - -! A

EPISODE # 18: STOLEN(May 02, 1998):

Jarod goes after the person or persons who have kidnapped
a man's son! A

EPISODE # 19: RED ROCK JAROD(May 02, 1998):

Jarod gets a message to come to a desert town only to
find the insane Lyle there trying to get his power
back by grabbing Jarod and trading him to the Centre!

Final appearance of Jarod's brother Kyle!! A

EPISODE # 20: BANK(May 09, 1998):

Jarod lures Parker to a bank where it gets robbed and
Parker almost gets everyone killed!!! A

EPISODE # 21: BLOODLINES(PT. 1)(May 16, 1998):

This and the next episode are ran together! Jarod learns of
another boy that the Centre has plans for and he's determined
to stop it!! A

It's a shame they tried to wrap it all up with a movie.
This was a brilliantly written film with top notch actors
and so many levels of story. Jarod is a cool character
and Michael T. Weiss portrayed him to perfection. I don't
understand why he didn't get more of a career from
