THE PROTECTORS - SEASON ONE(1972)

Never seen/heard of this before, so I'm not sure what
to expect! But with Robert Vaughn, it can't be all bad!
The only bad thing about this is the episodes are very
short!! !!

EPISODE # 1: 2,000 FT. TO DIE(Sept. 17, 1971):

There are three people who have a formula for making
artificial gold, and two of them get killed! Vaughn and
his group are tasked with keeping him alive!!

This has a very decent version of Led Zepplin's "Whole
Lotta Love" as an instrumental! A

EPISODE # 2: BROTHER HOOD(Sept. 24, 1971):

A man hires the group to bust his brother out of prison!
After they succeed, they find out the only reason he wanted
him out of prison was so that he could kill him!! B

EPISODE # 3: SEE NO EVIL(Oct. 01, 1971):

A Senator is investigating crime in Rome and he gets
waylaid with pictures taken! The group are there to
find out the who's and whys!! A

EPISODE # 4: DISAPPEARING TRICK(Oct. 08, 1971):

With their reputation growing, a man comes to Harry
saying that he can diappear with no one knowing where
he is! Harry says he's not interested, but the Countess
is intrigued and takes on the case!! B+

EPISODE # 5: CEREMONY FOR THE DEAD(Oct. 15, 1971):

A president of an undisclosed country is having an
emergency opperation, and Harry and group are to make
sure that nothing happens to him!! A

EPISODE # 6: IT WAS ALL OVER IN LEIPZIG(Oct. 22, 1971):

The team is trying to squelch an overthrow attempt on
an island, with the "help" of an old friend of the
Contessa!! A

EPISODE # 7: THE QUICK BROWN FOX(Oct. 29, 1971):

In this one we have the Protectors trying to intercept
just where payments to former Nizis are coming from! A

EPISODE # 8: KING CON(Nov. 05, 1971):

A friend of the Countess is conned out of a very valuable
painting, so the group plan a tit-for-tat on the dude!! A

EPISODE # 9: THINKBACK(Nov. 12, 1971):

This is a story that's been done in just about every
detective show ever made! Harry has an accident while
driving to pick up a man who's about to testify against
some corrupt politicians, and when he wakes up the
contessa is missing and he's in the hospital!!! A

EPISODE # 10: A KIND OF WILD JUSTICE(Nov. 19, 1971):

The daughter of a man Harry helped put in prison thinks
that Harry framed him and wants to get back at him! A

EPISODE # 11: BALANCE OF TERROR(Nov. 26, 1971):

The Russians are coming, The Russians are coming! Ok,
the crew get hired(?) by the KGB to find a scientist
has "defected" to the West and has a vial of very a
deadly potion!! A

EPISODE # 12: TRIPLE CROSS(Dec. 03, 1971):

A dude kidnaps the crew and forces them to carry out
a plan to recover some jewels! A

EPISODE # 13: THE NUMBERS GAME(Dec. 10, 1971):

The team is looking into a smuggling racket! A

EPISODE # 14: FOR THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL...(Dec. 17, 1971):

This one sees the Contessa kidnapped by a madman who
is looking for retribution for being sent to prison!
The ending is very strange! B

EPISODE # 15: THE BODYGUARDS(Dec. 24, 1971):

The crew get hired to be body guards, for a dead body!
That of a former robber!!! A

EPISODE # 16: A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH(Dec. 31, 1971):

The team is trying to stop smugglers~! A

EPISODE # 17: THE BIG HIT(Jan. 07, 1972):

Some of the Protectors in different countries get
offed, and there's an attempt on the Contessa and
Paul! This gets the team into action!!! A

EPISODE # 18: ONE AND ONE MAKES ONE(Jan. 14, 1972):

The team is out to rescue one of their own who is
being help by bad guys!! B

EPISODE # 19: TALKDOWN(Jan. 21, 1972):

Harry has to be talked down flying a plane! This is
a terrible episode, way too convoluted!!! D

EPISODE # 20: VOCAL(Jan. 28, 1972):

During an attempt ot capture some big time drug lords,
Paul gets blinded and Harry is indisposed, and there's
some bad dudes who are going to great lengths to impersonate
him for some nafarious reasons! A

EPISODE # 21: ...WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS(Feb. 04, 1972):

Harry and co. are assigned to protect a visiting president
but the man's boy is kidnapped and they demand the Harry
kill the man! A

EPISODE # 22: CHASE(Feb. 11, 1972):

The Contessa and Harry are celebrating his birthday at
her cottage when they get mixed up with some terrorist
who are out after a South American diplomate, hunting
him in the woods! A

EPISODE # 23: YOUR WITNESS(Feb. 18, 1972):

A witness to a murder is in town and her "uncle" has hired
the crew to protect her! She just doesn't want to be
protected and she takes off, putting herself and all others
in danger!!!! A

EPISODE # 24: IT COULD BE PRACTICALLY ANYWHERE ON THE ISLAND(Feb. 25, 1972):

OMG!!! this is horrible! Think Three dummies meets, well,
three more Supids! D

EPISODE # 25: THE FIRST CIRCLE(Feb. 18, 1972):

A colonel who had been in Vietnam, has lost his grip
on reality and is on a rampage, thinking he's killing
the enemy!! B

EPISODE # 24: A CASE FOR THE RIGHT(Feb. 25, 1972):

The crew are tasked with delivering a case with important
documents to Prince! A

I couldn't agree with you more Observer 2. There was no
television in our home and we had to go watch TV in the
window of our neighbor. I must have been about 4 or 5 years
old and all I could remember was that theme music the
dum-dum-de-dum-dum part. And the lyrics were so vague in
my memory until a couple years ago I download the theme song
and wow!!! It all came back to me. I remember Harry Rule
and the pretty contessa with her long hair and the fast cars
and guns and hair raising adventure! I am desperately searching
somewhere where I can see an episode! Great show! Does anyone
know where I can watch online? I would greatly appreciate a
