THE WILD, WILD WEST SEASON 2(1965) PAGE

THE WILD, WILD WEST SEASON 2(1965)

One of my favorite TV series ever starring Robert Conrad
as James West and Ross Martin as Artemus Gordon, secret
service men in the 1880s!

A lot of humor, sci-fi and action in this series, with
many notable guest stars including: Sammy Davis Jr.,
Peter Lawford, William Schallert, Victor Buono, Nick
Adams, Jackie Coogan, Sherry Jackson, Leslie Neilson,
Martin Landau, Bergess Meredith, Suzanne Plachette,
Ricardo Montalban, William Windom and many more, including
many Star Trek: TOS alumni!!

In this season they have completely cut out the intro on
the DVD!!!!

EPISODE # 1: THE NIGHT OF THE ECCENTRICS(Sept. 16, 1966):

A pretty silly episode to start the second season! Buono
plays a madman(is there any other in this series?) who
is out to take over Mexico!

Guest starring: Victor Buono, Richard Pryor, Anthony Eisley! A

EPISODE # 2: THE NIGHT OF THE GOLDEN COBRA(Sept. 23, 1966):

Halfway through the episode and I still don't actually
know what it's about!!

And as with the first episode, this is pretty silly!
But this has the great Boris Karloff in it, although
I'm pretty sure that he probably would like to forget
he was in it!

I will say this, the colors are magnificent in these
new color episodes!

You don't find out until 3/4 of the way through the
episode what it's all about!!

Guest starring: Boris Karloff! A

EPISODE # 3: THE NIGHT OF THE RAVEN(Sept. 30, 1966):

So, an Indian Chief's daughter is kidnapped by, guess
who??? He's got a plan for making the whole world look
up to him, he's going to shrink everyone in the world!

Guest starring: Micheal Dunn is back! B-

her ideas!

It appears that a ghost is haunting a town that has many
secrets to hide!!

Guest starring: Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford! A

This one's about murders on the river, by the way of singing
ships that are going down them!

Guest starring: Jeff Corey, Diane McBaing! A

EPISODE # 7: THE NIGHT OF THE POISONOUS POSEY(Oct. 28, 1966):

A French scientist has developed a chemical that glows
and if humans are exposed to it it will kill them!!

Guest starring: Nick Borgani! A

EPISODE # 8: THE NIGHT OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT(Nov. 04, 1966):

the boys were assigned to protect!

Byron Morrow! A

EPISODE # 9: THE NIGHT OF THE WATERY DEATH(Nov. 11, 1966):

Men working on a railroad construction have been killed five
at a time every day till a ransom is payed! By the looks of
things it's the Cheyenne behind it, buuuuuuuutttt....!!!

Guest starring: Leslie Nielson, Katherine Ross, Elisha
Cook Jr., Harry Townes, John Drew Barrymore! A

EPISODE # 10: THE NIGHT OF THE GREEN TERROR(Nov. 18, 1966):

duplicate West and get rid of him forever!!

A lot of humor here, almost too much!!

A wannabe art collector is after the art at the California
state's museum! They try to pull this off by subtituting
the governor with a fake!

many years earlier! This one's out after domination of the
U.S! A

EPISODE # 19: THE NIGHT OF THE TARTAR(Feb. 03, 1967)

The boys are tasked with protecting the emir who appearently
is on the most wanted killed list, and there's an Assassin's
club who seem to be overly eager to do it!!!

Guest starring: Yvonne Craig, Richard Jaeckel!! A

EPISODE # 20: THE NIGHT OF THE VICIOUS VALENTINE(Feb. 10, 1967):

And here we have the return, again, of Loveless and Voltair,
this time in a plat that seem only about money!

Guest starring: Michael Dunn and Richard Kiel return, Narman
Fell, Jesse White! A

EPISODE # 21: THE NIGHT OF THE BRAIN(Feb. 17, 1967):

A puppeteer is out after vengence on the judges that
denied him his justice(his view!)!

This may be my lowest rated episode! Really quite contrived!!!

Guest starring: John Hoyt!! B-

Reviewer From IMDb.com:

I guess I was 7 to 10 years of age when TWWW aired.
What a cool show! Gadgets, girls, the music...and
those knife-edge escapes.

I've only just now bought the first season DVD and
now my son is watching with me, so I have some catching
up to do.

Enjoy it while keeping in mind that this came out 40
years ago. Imagine if it had been in color!

Crisp, fun, entertaining. In a time when shows were few
and good ones fewer, TWWW rose way above the others. It
should also be said it was very believable in a Mel
Gibson in Lethal Weapon kind of way. I think the actors
deserve a lot of credit also -- they all took their roles
very seriously, and the commitment shows. - floyd-52
