THE WILD, WILD WEST SEASON 4(1965)
One of my favorite TV series ever starring Robert Conrad
as James West and Ross Martin as Artemus Gordon, secret
service men in the 1880s!
A lot of humor, sci-fi and action in this series, with
many notable guest stars including: Sammy Davis Jr.,
Peter Lawford, William Schallert, Victor Buono, Nick
Adams, Jackie Coogan, Sherry Jackson, Leslie Neilson,
Martin Landau, Bergess Meredith, Suzanne Plachette,
Ricardo Montalban, William Windom and many more, including
many Star Trek: TOS alumni!!
The audio intro by Robert Conrad has been deleted on
these episodes!

It was during the filming of this episode where Ross
Martin suffered his heart attack and would miss several
episodes!
Guest starring: Dabs Greer! A
EPISODE # 10: THE NIGHT OF THE CAMERA(Nov. 10, 1967):
With Artie gone, this has Jeremy Pike filling in as his
replacement, with the explanation being that Artie is on
assignment in Washington. I'm not impressed with this one
as I truly believe that Pat really degrades the episode!
Anyway, the episode is about opium smuggling.
The first episode with the replacement for Artie after Ross's
heart attack, in this one it's Charles Aidman who is in his
first of 4 episodes!
Guest starring: Pat Paulsen, Nick Borgani! B
EPISODE # 11: THE NIGHT OF THE AVARICIOUS ACTUARY(Nov. 17, 1967):
A new machine, this one using sound waves to destroy

Artie's back!! Yeaaaaaaayyy!!
A group of thugs pose as Spanish Conquestidores, killing and
robing the towns as they go! The townspeople think they are
really from the past!!!
Guest starring: Jon Lormer, Thayer David!! A
EPISODE # 15: THE NIGHT OF THE WINGED TERROR(PART 1)(Dec. 15, 1967):

place(played by the great William Schalart)!!

Roy Engel returns! A
EPISODE # 16: THE NIGHT OF THE WINGED TERROR(PART 2)(Dec. 29, 1967)
Continued from the previous episode!
Artie's still gone, Frank Harper still taking his
place(played by the great William Schalart)!!
Towns are still getting warnings of impending doom, which
come true with a raven helping out!!
Guest starring: Jackie Coogan, Vic Perrin, Bernard Fox,
James McEachin! Roy Engel returns! A
EPISODE # 17: THE NIGHT THE SABATINI DEATH(Jan. 05, 1968):
Still no Artie! This one has Alen Hale as Ned Brown as a
replacement!!
Sabatini is the head mobster in town and he asks for a favor
from Jim and, well, since Artie is still "in Washington", Ned
Brown! He wants them to give something to a special woman in
his life!!
The ending here is very cute!!
Guest staring: Jim Backus, Alan Hale Jr.! A
EPISODE # 18: THE NIGHT OF THE JANUS(Jan. 12, 1968):

There's a band of renegades trying to start a war between
the U.S. and Mexico!!! A
EPISODE # 20: THE NIGHT OF THE DIVA(Jan. 26, 1968):
A raft of opera divas are going missing and Jim and Artie
are tasked with guarding one while she's in New Orleans!!
Not a fan of high sopprano opera!! B
EPISODE # 21: THE NIGHT OF THE BLEAK ISLAND(Feb. 02, 1968):
Strangely, Artie is missing in this episode again, with no
replacement of him!
Anyway, another very "Hound Of The Baskervilles"ish episode,
and very good!!!
Guest starring: John Williams, Beverly Garland, Jon Lormer! A
EPISODE # 22: THE NIGHT OF THE COSSAKS(Feb. 09, 1968)
While being a host to Korovian royalty, the boys end up
having to protect him from those that want to do him
wrong!
You can really tell that Ross's heart attack has taken a
toll on him, as he has lost a lot of weight and he uses a
stand in for his final fight! Still it was really nice to
see him back!!
Guest starring: Guy Stockwell! A
EPISODE # 23: THE NIGHT OF THE PLAGUE(Feb. 16, 1968):
After a stage hold up that had been set up to capture the
gang but got fucked up by an arrogant woman, turns out to
be much worse when it turns out that they are all spreading
an Asiatic plague!!
One of the worst death scenes EVER!!!!!
Guest starring: Lana Wood returns! A-
EPISODE # 24: THE NIGHT OF THE TYCOONS(Jan. 23, 1967)
Last episode of the series! Unfortunately, Ross is not
in this, as this was filmed before he had a chance to
recover from his heart attack! Too bad!
As for this last story, big businessmen are being killed
off and West is there to try to protect the remaining
ones from getting knocked off!
Not as good as I would have liked, but not terrible!
Guest starring: Joanie Sommers, Jo Van Fleet! A-
Reviewer From IMDb.com:
I guess I was 7 to 10 years of age when TWWW aired.
What a cool show! Gadgets, girls, the music...and
those knife-edge escapes.
I've only just now bought the first season DVD and
now my son is watching with me, so I have some catching
up to do.
Enjoy it while keeping in mind that this came out 40
years ago. Imagine if it had been in color!
Crisp, fun, entertaining. In a time when shows were few
and good ones fewer, TWWW rose way above the others. It
should also be said it was very believable in a Mel
Gibson in Lethal Weapon kind of way. I think the actors
deserve a lot of credit also -- they all took their roles
very seriously, and the commitment shows. - floyd-52
