STAR TREK: CONTINUES EPISODE #10:
TO BOLDLY GO PART 1(2013)
This one starts the two episode final story arc for our
intrepid crew! This sets up the first Star Trek movie,
Star Trek: The Motion Picture! The crew, specifically Kirk,
Spock and a red shirt to be killed later, beem down to a
planet where the Federation has been conducting experiments
to create an army of very powerful people! This is a throwback
to the very first episode, "Where No Man Has Gone Before", in
which Gary Mitchell and Dr. Elizabeth Dehner become almost
God-like after going through the barrier!
This pits the Enterprise against the Romulans!
A quite humorous asside comment here, Kirk is talking about
Mitchell and says "Hell, he even remembered my middle name!"
This is a reference to the fact that Kirk's tombstone
created by Gary said "James R. Kirk"!!
A semi-regular dies in this!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. McKennah,
Commander Spock, Captain Kirk, Lt. Scott, Lt. Sulu, Lt.
Uhura, Dr. McCoy & Lt. Chekov!
This guest stars Amy Rydell(daughter of the original Romulan
commander that Shatner's Kirk came up against in the episode
"The Enterprise Incident", Joanne Linville!)!
This continues, and concludes, in the next/last episode! A
From an IMDb.com customer:
As a fan of Star Trek, and all of its evolution's, I
usually greet Fan Productions with optimism. A 'lot of
love' has usually gone into their production, and they
are always entertaining.
Star Trek Continues is different. The feeling changes
after one watches for a few minutes; Effectively, a viewer
forgets that they are watching a Fan Production. This IS
Star Trek. And as one continues to watch, one becomes
hungry for more. The classic reaction of the eternal fan.
'When is the Next One on? With Star Trek Continues, you are
very quickly immersed in the story, as you would with any
other chapter of Trek. This Penultimate episode of Continues
sets an amazing level, but with it comes a feeling of Sadness.
As a Fan i congratulate all involved in this production.
My Reason for sadness is selfishly obvious; I WANT MORE! To
any Trekkie hasn't watched Continues, You are in for a treat!
10/10.. and to the staff and crew of the show; Peace and long
life - liamaher

STAR TREK: CONTINUES EPISODE #11:
TO BOLDLY GO PART 2(2013)
Continuing on from the last episode, this one now has the crew
of the Enterprise pitted against the "super" powered espers
that have successfully made into, and out of, the barrier! As a
side effect of this, one of the Enterprise's own crewmembers is
affected by the barrier!
Two more semi-regular crewmembers die here!
This is the longest of all the Continues' episodes!
And it is a fitting end to this series!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Kirk,
Lt. Chekov, Commander Spock, Dr. McCoy, Lt. Scott, Dr.
McKennah, Lt. Sulu & Lt. Uhura!! A
From an IMDb.com customer:
There will be no spoilers just an assessment; This is
better than the commercial shows. Of course Discovery
and the Kelvin-Films have superior production values,
but since when were perfect effects and sets important?
Ever since the Star Wars Prequels we know that plot matters
and not effects.
That is not supposed to mean the acting, the effects and
the sets are bad, they are pretty outstanding, so good that
you forget after a couple of minutes that you are "just"
watching a fan-film.
Star Trek Continues has something far more important than
a grand budget, this has actual characters, an actual story
and above all, makes us invest emotionally and pays off big
time in the end. You watch this, you will care for our triumvirate
in the end even more, you will understand their future actions
and decisions. And isn't that what a story is all about; we the
audience care for the characters in it.
It is sad that fan films are no more, at least not in the current
format. This show has been a treat from the beginning and this
episode is clearly the peak of fan films. I doubt it will be
surpassed any time soon. - TAEMO
