STAR TREK - DEEP SPACE NINE SEASON 7 PAGE

STAR TREK - DEEP SPACE NINE SEASON 7(1997-1998)

Continuing on from the first six seasons, this has
all cast members from the first six seasons returning
to reprise their roles, minus Jadzia Dax!

EPISODE 1: IMAGE IN THE SAND(Sept. 30, 1998):

It's been three months since the end of he last season
and there is uneasiness at DS9, what with the Prophets
not appearing to be around and Sisko still away! And
Admiral Ross on his way to talk with Kira, who has been
promoted to Colonel!

And the news from the Admiral is that there's to be a
contingency of Romulans to show up on DS9!

James Darrin show up again, and he sings "All The Way"!
Sounding great as always! And he really is a good actor!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Security Chief
Odo, Colonel Kira Nerys, Chief Miles O'Brien, Dr. Julian
Bashir, Ensign Nog, Lt. Commander Worf, Jake Sisko,
Captain Sisko, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, Quark, Morn, General
Martok & Ensign Ezra Dax!

This introduces a new Dax, Ezri! A

EPISODE 2: SHADOWS AND SYMBOLS(Oct. 7, 1998):

Several things happening here: Kira still upset with
the Romulans weapons on Durna; a new Dax for everyone
to get used to; Sisko heading to find the Orb of the
Prophet; and Worf, along with several DS9 officers
and Quark, going into a battle for Jadzia's honor
and to help her get into Sto-Vo-Kor(the Klingon
equivalent of Heaven)!

By the way, have I mentioned how much I can't stand
the Worf character?!!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Sisko,
Ensign Ezra Dax, Jake Sisko, Lt. Commander Worf, Quark,
General Martok, Colonel Kira Nyris, Chief O'Brien,
Dr. Bashir, Weyoun, Legat Dumar & Security Chief Odo! A

EPISODE 3: AFTERIMAGE(Oct. 14, 1998):

The crew and Ezri are trying to make sense of it all
what with her being the former Jadzia! The worst part
of her character is that she is a counselor, a position
that I find absolutely unnecessary in these shows!

However, Ezri is very likable, and she does find her
niche on the station, and she gets promoted to Lieutenant!

And she is finding friends, not the least of which is
the good doctor, and Worf, being his wonderful self
orders Bashir and Quark to stay away from her!

On the side, Garak is havinng physical issues! The
issue: claustrophobia!! The cause, guilt!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Ezri Dax,
Morn, Colonel Kira, Quark, Captain Sisko, Dr. Bashir,
Security Chief Odo, Garak, Chief O'Brien, Lt. Commander
Worf & Jake Sisko!!

EPISODE 4: TAKE ME OUT TO THE HOLOSUITE(Oct. 21, 1998):

This is really a silly episode, and quite a bit
lighter than all others of this season!! Basic
story, a Vulcan captain shows up on DS9 for some
ship repairs, and after a terse discussion with
Sisko, challenges him to his own game, a game of
baseball!!

Best of the show, Odo being an umpire and Rom's
bunt!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain
Benjamin Sisko, Lt. Ezri Dax, Lt. Commander Worf,
Dr. Julian Bashir, Colonel Kira Nerys, Ensign Nog,
Chief O'Brien, Leeta Alexander, Rom, Quark, Jake
Sisko, Securiry Chief Odo, Kasidy Yates & Morn! A-

EPISODE 5: CHRYSALIS(Oct. 28, 1998):

The mutants are back, bringing Sarina, who's the one
that doesn't interrealte with others, who Dr. Bashir
has said he wants to try to help!! This puts Bashir
in a hard position, but he goes ahead with his expiriment
hoping for the best.

The results: questionable!

And Bashir is starting to have feelings for her!

The music part is really dumb!!!!!

Another sad episode!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Bashir,
Chief O'Brien, Colonel Kira, Security Chief Odo, Morn,
Enisgn Nog, Captain Sisko, Lt. Dax & Quark! A

EPISODE 6: TREACHERY, FAITH AND THE GREAT RIVER(Nov. 4, 1998):

A couple of things going here: Odo is headed to a meeting
with a Cardassian informant that he thought was dead - and
he meets up with - Weyoun?; and Sisko is putting pressure
on O'Brien to get the Defiant up and running in three days,
when he can't get the part needed for three weeks! Nog to
the rescue??!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Security Chief
Odo, Colonel Kira Narys, Quark, Chief O'Brien, Ensign Nog,
Captain Sisko, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, Lt. Dax, Rom, General
Martok, Lt. Commander Worf & Dr. Bashir!! A

EPISODE 7: ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREACH(Nov. 11, 1998):

Kor shows up again on DS9 to ask Worf for help in
securing one last command to go out as a warrior!
Worf goes to General Martok to ask for his help but
finds that Martok has nothing but disdain for Kor!
What to do?

Kor is losing his faculties, which is quite sad!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Cheif O'Brien,
Dr. Bashir, Lt. Commander Worf, Morn, General Martok, Captain
Sisko, Lt. Dax, Colonel Kira Nyres, Quark, Morn, Security
Chief Odo, Jake Sisko & Morn!!

Kor shows up again for the last time! Played by John
Calicos! Another sad episode! A+

EPISODE 8: THE SIEGE OF AR-558(Nov. 18, 1998):

Returning again is James Darren as the holo suite
singer, Vic Vontane! He sings "I'll Be Seeing You"!

The Defiant is on a mission to the front lines and
Quark is requested by the Grand Nagus to go with it
to make a report about what's going on!

Nog suffers a severe injury!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Rom, Dr.
Bashir, Security Cheif Odo, Captain Sisko, Quark,
Lt. Dax, Lt. Commander Worf, Chief O'Brien, Ensign
Nog & Major Kira!!

Special guest starring here is none other than
Lennier himself, Bill Mumy!! He does an amazing
job here!!!

While this does what it was suppose to do as far
as the writers were concerned, I am not a fan of
war movies, and this does nothing to change that
opinion!! Probably the worst Star Trek episode ever!! D-

EPISODE 9: COVENANT(Nov. 25, 1998):

Gul Dukat has become the leader of the Pah-wraith!
He spirits away Kira to try to talk her into the
belief that the Pah-wraiths are the true gods of
Bajor! WAaaaaaaaayyyyyyyYYYYY too religiously
based for me!!

This is based on the cult Heaven's Gate in which
the leader persuaded the whole congregation to
kill themselves, saying that they would meet up
with aliens that would be waiting for them on
the other side!

Starring, in order of appearance: Quark, Lt. Dax,
Dr. Bashir, Security Chief Odo, Colonel Kira, Gul
Dukat, Captain Sisko, Lt. Commander Worf, Chief
O'Brien!! D

EPISODE 10: IT'S ONLY A PAPER MOON(Dec. 30, 1998):

This is all about Nog dealing with loosing his
leg and his PTSD! Most of it centers around him
and Vic Fontaine, with Vic trying to help him out!

Songs by Darren: "I'll Be Seeing You", "I've Got
The World On A String", "Just In Time" & "It's Only
A Paper Moon"!

Also played here in the background is "Moon River"!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Rom, Lt. Dax,
Morn, Leeta Alexander, Major Kira, Captain Sisko, Ensign
Nog, Chief O'Brien, Dr. Bashir, Securit Chief Odo, Jake
Sisko & Quark!

James Darren has a much larger role than usual, and
again puts in an excellent performance!!

One of the best episodes of not just DS9 but any
Star Trek incarnation!!! A+++

EPISODE 11: PRODIGAL DAUGHTER(Jan. 6, 1999):

Chief O'Brien has gone missing while looking for
the wife of the man that he was with when he died
and he feels responsible for! Turns out that the
planet that he went to happens to be Ezri's mother's
home world, and Sisko is asking her to ask her mother
for help in findin O'Brien!

And it appears the the woman that O'Brien was looking
for and Ezri's family have something in commen: the
\ local crime syndicate!!

Another really dark episode!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Security Chief
Odo, Lt. Dax, Major Kira, Dr. Bashir, Captain Sisko & Chief
O'Brien! A-

EPISODE 12: THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOAK(Feb. 03, 1999):

Another stupid alternate universe episode where Zek
has been kidnapped and will be freed for only a
cloaking device!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Quark, Security
Chief Odo, Morn, Rom, Alternate "Lt. Dax", General Martok,
Captain Sisko, Alternate "Vic Fonatain", Alternate "Dr.
Bashir", Alternate "Chief O'Brien", Alternate "Colonel
Kira", Alternate "Worf", Alternate "Garak" & Alternate
"Leeta Alexander"!

Walace Shawn returns as the Grand Nagus! B-

EPISODE 13: FIELD OF FIRE(Feb. 10, 1999):

A new pilot is on board DS9 and getting high praise from
everyone! A party(of sorts) ensues and he gets quite
drunk! Ezri walks him back to his quarters, then wakes up
the next day to find that he's been killed!!

This makes Dax get in touch with Joran, one of the other
Dax hosts who was a murderer and she really doesn't want
to deal with him!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Bashir,
Chief O'Brien, Colonel Kira, Lt. Dax, Quark, Seurity
Chief Odo, Captain Sisko, Morn & Lt. Commander Worf!!

This isn't a great episode, but it does have its moments! A-

EPISODE 14: CHIMERA(Feb. 17, 1999):

While returning from a conferance Odo and O'Brien happen
upon another changling who asks for Odo's help! When back
on DS9, he's detained but Odo asks Sisko to release him,
so he does in Odo's custody! Not such a great idea!!

This is a pretty strange episode, and mostly about bigotry!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Chief O'Brien,
Security Chief Odo, Captain Sisko, Colonel Kira, Dr. Bashir,
Lt. Dax, Quark & Lt. Commander Worf!! B

EPISODE 15: BADDA-BING BADDA-BANG(Feb. 24, 1999):

Another episode with James Darren! Always a treat!! He
sings a song called "Alamo" and, along with Sisko, "The
Best Is Yet To Come"! While singing "Alamo", the scene
changes to one of very strange surroundings! The crew all
want to try to help Vic out, but Sisko for some reason
couldn't care less about the whole thing! And again, he
proves why I hated his character!!!!!

This is kind of a play off of one of the greatest movies
ever made, Oceans 11!!

This is quite a bit of fun!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Bashir,
Chief O'Brien, Ensign Nog, Lt. Commander Worf, Colonel Kira,
Captain Sisko, Kasidy Yates, Security Chief Odo, Lt. Dax,
Morn & Quark! A+

EPISODE 16: INTER ARMA ENIM SILENT LEGES(Mar. 03, 1999):

Dr. Bashir is approached by "Section 31" for an assignment
that revolves around his coming trip to a Romulas conference
and his speach that he's to give there! He's to spy on the
Romulans and return with information that will help in the
war, one they think will be with the Romulans! And Sisko and
Admiral Ross want Bashir to play along to find out who/what
"Section 31" is all about!! This all puts Julian in a very
precarious position indeed!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Colonel Kira,
Chief O'Brien, Lt. Commander Worf, Security Chief Odo,
Garak, Dr. Bashir, Lt. Dax & Captain Sisko!! A-

EPISODE 17: PENUMBRA(Apr. 07, 1999):

This starts the long, Long, LONG arc to end the show!

The ships that Worf and the Klingons were on while on
a mission are attacked and Worf goes missing!! And Ezri
goes looking for him which takes her to "the badlands"!!

They get attacked on the way back to DS9 they get attacked
and end up on a planet!

Ben proposes to Kasidy!

Again, Worf shows his shitty side! And again, with the
stupid Worf & Dax thing!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Sisko,
Kasidy Yates, Lt. Dax, Dr. Bashir, Chief O'Brien, Colonel
Kira, Quark, Morn, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, the voice of Jadzia
Dax is heard here, Security Chief Odo, Lt. Commander Worf,
Jake Sisko & Gul Dukat!

Continues in the next episode! A-

EPISODE 18: 'TIL DEATH DO US PART(Apr. 14, 1999):

Kai Winn gets a visit from the "Prophets" who tell
her it's up to her to guide Bajor to the restoration!

Worf and Dax are still on the Breen ship headed to who
knows where, and Dukat is still disguised as a Bajoran
so that he can convince Winn that the Pah-wraiths are
the true prophets! This is a really stupid story arc,
what with Winn not being able to see through Dakat's
disguise!!

While this is not a favorite of mine, it does have one
of the funniest lines in the whole series when Ezri
comes back from being interrogated!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Jake Sisko,
Captain Sisko, Kai Winn, Colonel Kira, Lt. Commander Worf,
Lt. Dax, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, Gul Dukat, Kasidy Yates,
Kai Winn, Quark, Dr. Bashir, Chief O'Brien, Security Chief
Odo, Jake Sisko & Enisgn Nog!

Continued, again, in the next episode! B

EPISODE 19: STRANGE BEDFELLOWS(Apr. 21, 1999):

With Worf and Dax now in the hands of Weyoun and the
Dominion, it all looks very dark for them! And the alliance
between the Dominion and the Breen makes the Federations
days look bleak!

And continuing the stupid relationship between Winn and
Dukat!

And Bashir is finally admitting that he has feeling for
Ezri!

And as for Worf and Dax, an unexpected ally that helps them
escape!

This episode has, in order of appearance: General Martok,
Captain Sisko, Kai Winn, Gul Dukat, Lt. Dax, Lt. Commander
Worf, Kasidy Sisko, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, Secutiry Chief Odo,
Colonel Kira, Chief O'Brien, Quark & Dr. Bashir!

Continues, AGAIN, in the next episode! B

EPISODE 20: THE CHANGING FACE OF EVIL(Apr. 28, 1999):

Earth has been attacked by the Breen! Dax and Worf are
back on DS9! Kasidy can't cook! And Bashir is really
glad to see Dax! And Legat Dumar is trying to figure
a way to get Cardassia for Cardassia! And the Breen
have puched holes in the Federations lines and the
Defiant along with most of the crew are headed there
to help out! This REALLY doesn't go well!!

Oh, and Winn is falling deeper and deeper into the
abyss of evil that she was always headed for!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Chief O'Brien,
Dr. Bashir, Lt. Dax, Captain Sisko, Lt. Commander Worf,
General Marok, Weyoun, Legat Dumar, Kai Winn, Gull Dukat,
Quark, Security Chief Odo, Ensign Nog & Major Kira! A-

Kira, Odo & Garak are planning to go to Cardassia to
help train them in the ways of resistance fighting!
While on the way there, they get a call from Bashir

telling Odo that he has the same illness that's killing
the rest of his people! And when Bashir finds out the
truth, all Hell breaks loose!

Winn is still planning her takeover of the religious
faction! And she and Dukat have a bit of a falling out!

And relationship issues with Bashir and Dax!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Chief O'Brien,
Captain Sisko, General Martok, Colonel Kira, Dr. Bashir,
Security Cheif Odo, Kai Winn, Gull Dukat, Garak, Lt.
Commander Worf, Chancellor Gowron, Legat Dumar, Lt. Dax &
Quark!!

AGAIN, CONTINUED!! B

EPISODE 22: TACKING INTO THE WIND(May 12, 1999):

Odo is sinking fast, and Kira's havinng trouble with
certain Cardassians not wanting to take instructions
from a Bajoran!!

And Gowron is making moves that is endangering the Klingon
Empire, Starfleet, Romulas and the whole Alpha Quadrant!
And the solution to the issue is one that General Martok
does not want to take! Worf challenges Gowron which leads
to a new Klingon leader!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Colonel Kira,
Garak, Legat Dumar, Security Chief Odo, Chief O'Brien,
Dr. Bashir, Chancellor Gowron, Captain Sisko, Weyoun,
Lt. Commander Worf, General Martok & Lt. Dax!

Guess what, CONTINUES AGAIN!!!!!! A

EPISODE 23: EXTREME MEASURES(May 19, 1999):

Julian and O'Brien continues their persuit of capturing
a Section 31 operative to find out how to cure Odo!
This leads to a very dangerous proceedure for the good
doctor and our favorite Chief to try and get information
out of Sloan! This is a pretty strange episode!

Odo insists that Kira go with Garak to continue to
help Legat Dumar in his quest to take back Cardassia
from the Dominion!

This episode has, in order of appearance:Security Chief
Odo, Dr. Bashir, Colonel Kira, Chief O'Brien, Garak,

And of course, continued! A-

EPISODE 24: THE DOGS OF WAR(May 26, 1999):

Kira, Garak & Dumar are stranded on a planet after trying
to make contact with other resistant members! This puts
them in a position of having to chose another way to
roust the Cardassian people to revolt against the Dominion!

Grand Nagus Zek is planning to retire and wants to name
a new Nagus! He talks with Quark and says he's headed to
DS9 to pass the staff! This portion is really dumb!

Kasidy is pregnant!!

Bashir and Dax finally work things out!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Sisko,
Chief O'Brien, Dr. Bashir, Lt. Dax, Lt. Commander Worf,
Garak, Legat Dumar, Colonel Kira, Weyoun, Security Chief
Odo, Rom, Leeta, Quark, Grand Nagus Zek, Ensign Nog,
Morn, General Martok & Kasidy Sisko!

Oh, and of course Bashir and O'Brien!

You would think that they would have wrapped up the war
with this and left the last episode for nothing but joy!
Not this stupid show!! CONTINUED!!! A-

EPISODE 25: WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND(June 02, 1999):

Series finale, Thank God!!!!

This last episode was a double one that's 1:30!!

There's a lot to clear up in this last episode: the
Dominion; Weyoun; Kai Winn & Gul Dukat; relationships,
such as Bashir and Dax, Kira and Odo, and the Siskos!

Oh, and what's to become of Quark's bar!

The one bright light here is Vic Fontaine(James Darren)
returns for the finale! He sings "Just The Way You Look
Tonight"! Quite lovely!

The ending for Odo is really stupid!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Bashir,
Lt. Dax, Chief O'Brien, Keiko O'Brien, Yoshi O'Brien,
Molly O'Brien, Captain Sisko, Kasidy Sisko, Jake Sisko,
Security Chief Odo, Lt. Commander Worf, Ensign Nog, Garak,

Quark, General Martok & Morn! A-

PHOTO GALLERY

AS WITH THE FIRST SIX SEASONS, THIS HAS SEVERAL HIDDEN FILES:

HIDDEN FILE 01:
Marc Alaimo(Gul Dukat) discusses
his character!

HIDDEN FILE 02:
Jeffrey Combs(Weyoun/Brunt/Tiron and others) talks
about his many characters!

HIDDEN FILE 03:
Robert O'Reilly(Chancellor Gowron) talks about his
Character!

HIDDEN FILE 04:
Louise Fletcher(Kai Winn) discusses her character!

HIDDEN FILE 05:
Penny Johnson(Kasidy Yates) discusses her character and
her relationship with Ben Sisko!

HIDDEN FILE 06:
Max Grodenchik(Rom) talks about his getting the role!!!
This one is fun!!

HIDDEN FILE 07:
J.G. Hertzler(General Martok) discusses the progression
of his character!!

HIDDEN FILE 08:
Aron Eisenberg(Ensign Nog) discusses his character!!

HIDDEN FILE 09:
Ira Steven Behr(Executive Producer) discusses how
James Darren(Vic Fontaine) came to be on the show!

Two things that are strange to me here: One; the
"hidden file" on Vic Fontaine does not have James
Darren in it!!!; Two; There are only 9 "hidden files"
for this last season!!

From an IMDb.com customer:

I just recently bought the DVDs for my son because
we had just finished watching STNG on DVD. I have
tried to get into this show but I just can't. I
don't feel the acting is up to par of STNG. I
actually liked the optimistic, TNG. I am already
tired of the politics of DS9; tired of the
Cardassians, tired of the prophets and tired
of the Ferengi. I can't imagine watching 5 more
seasons with my son! I just may have to relegate
the show to my playroom. However, I miss Picard,
I miss Riker, Data, Geordi, Troi and Dr. Crusher.
That show felt like family. I can't even relate
to this cast. My favorite of the DS9 cast is Dr.
Bashir. He's just such a cutie.

I can see why this show polarized fans. You either
love it or you don't. I'm hoping the seasons get
better (I've read they do)but my enjoyment of this
show pales in comparison to TNG, which did have
dark episodes. They just weren't the primary focus,
thank God. - KittyMurray12
