STAR TREK - ENTERPRISE SEASON 2 PAGE

STAR TREK - ENTERPISE SEASON 2(2002-2003)

With the all-time worst theme song of any science fiction
show in history, this show starts out with a whimper!

However, though it took me 15 years to watch this series,
I have discovered that it's really pretty good, with several
really great episodes!

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS SEASON RESORTS TO RETURNING THE STUPID
FUCKING BORG IN IT!! I H-A-T-E BORG!!!

With the whole crew returning, round two starts!

EPISODE 01: SHOCKWAVE, PART II(Sept. 18, 2002):

Part two of a two part "cliffhanger", the temporal flux
situation that Daniels was involved with back in the
episode "Cold Front" is still a mess, with Archer in
the future and the Enterprise in the hands of Silik
and the Suliban!

A decent enough wrap-up to the two parter, but still
totally unbelievable!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Sub Commander
T'Pol, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Commander Charles Tucker III,
Captain Jonathan Archer, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Ensign
Travis Mayweather & Dr. Phlox !

Guest starring again here is Vaughn Armstrong! A-(because
of the complete unbelievability of the episode)!!

EPISODE 2: CARBON CREEK(Sept. 25, 2002):

The captain is evaluating T'Pol and the subject of Carbon
Creek, the "first" real contact that the Vulcan's had
with the Humans! Thusly, she proceeds to tell the story
of that contact(supposedly in around the time of the
launch of Sputnik[1857])!!

It's fun to see the old vehicles and TVs, although there's
an issue here that ALL the cars are REALLY old, as in from
the 30s and 40s! Anther issue with this is that the Vulcans
understand English and the humans understand the Vulcans!!

A really fun episode!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Sub Commander T'Pol & Commander Charles Tucker III!

This episode has no Dr. Phlox, Ensign Travis Mayweather,
Lt. Malcolm Reed nor Ensign Hoshi Sato. A+

EPISODE 3: MINEFIELD(Oct. 02, 2002):

While researching an uncharted system, there's an explosion
that damages the Enterprise pretty severly! Hoshi gets
injurred here! It's all caused from the ship entering a
minefield!

This has one deleted scene!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Sub Commander T'Pol, Ensign
Travis Mayweather, Commander Charles Tucker III, Dr. Phlox &
Ensign Hoshi Sato! A-

EPISODE 4: DEAD STOP(Oct. 09, 2002):

The ship is still pretty damaged and Archer is trying to
come up with a way to repair the extensive damages. He
opts to send out a general distress signal to get some
help, and they get a response from the Tellorites. When
they go to the co-ordinates that they send them, they find
an automated space station that says the repairs can be
made in 34 hours for the compensation of plasma. While
the repairs are being made, Archer, Trip & T'Pol are
invited to enjoy the recreation area! This ship has
a lot of technology that we see in TOS, such as medical
devices, replicators & other things! Archer seems to
have a huge problem with all the new techie stuff,
perhaps for good reason!

The first "He's dead" by the doctor is here!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III, Lt. Malcolm Reed,
Dr. Phlox, Sub Commander T'Pol, Ensign Hoshi Sato & Ensign
Travis Mayweather!

Guest starring here as the voice of the alien computer
is Roxann Dawson(Star Trek: Voyager)! A

EPISODE 5: A NIGHT IN SICKBAY(Oct. 16, 2002):

Archer, Hoshi and T'Pol come back from visiting the
Kreetassans again, hoping that this time works out
better, along with Porthos(Archer's dog)! After
decontamination, the three are allowed to go, but
Porthos has picked up something and the doctor wants
to keep him for a bit to make sure that he's ok.
Turns out the dog is not doing well at all and could
die! And again, Archer and company have managed to
offend these people! They have supplies that the
Enterprise needs, and they now need to find a cure
for Pathos! The reason for the Kreetassan's offence
is well obvious waaaaaay before it comes up!

The captain's attitude here is, well, unbecomming of
an officer, as he should have been much more careful
and not taken the dog with them to begin with!

This is really quite dumb(although there are a couple
of funny lines here)!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain
Jonathan Archer, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Sub Commander
T'Pol, Commander Charles Tucker III & Dr. Phlox!

Seen but not heard(only in a dream sequence)are Lt.
Malcolm Reed & Ensign Travis Mayweather!

Returning to guest star here is Vaughn Armstrong!

There are two deleted scenes for this episode! B-

EPISODE 6: MARAUDERS(Oct. 30, 2002):

The Captain, Trip and T'Pol go down to a planet to
try to secure some deuterium from some miners there
and they find out that the people they're dealing with
are dealing with more than Archer and his crew(check
the name of the show)!! Then the Klingons show up!

A very good episode!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III, Sub Commander T'Pol,
Dr. Phlox, Ensign Travis Mayweather, Lt. Malcolm Reed &
Ensign Hoshi Sato! A+

EPISODE 7: THE SEVENTH(Nov. 06, 2002):

T'Pol gets a message that Menos has been found, and
T'Pol is asked to do capture him! Why T'Pol, cause
she was assigned to pick him up along with several
others! She is dropped off in a shuttle with Travis
to apprehend this person, with the help of Archer!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Sub Commander
T'Pol, Captain Jonathan Archer, Ensign Travis Mayweather
Commander Charles Tucker III, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Lt.
Malcolm Reed & Dr. Phlox! A

EPISODE 8: THE COMMUNICATOR(Nov. 13, 2002):

After returning from a mission on a pre-warp planet some covert
observations, Reed discovers that he's left his communicator down
on said planet! Reed and Archer return to the planet to find the
missing communicator! While there, they run into a little trouble:
they find the commucator, but get busted by the locals mistaken
for members of a oposing factions of the planet!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Hoshi Sato,
Captain Jonathan Archer, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Dr. Phlox, Sub
Commander T'Pol, Commander Charles Tucker III & Ensign Travis
Mayweather!

This one's too violent for me! B

EPISODE 9: SINGULARITY(Nov. 20, 2002):

The ship heads for a black hole and a trinary system! The
happenings during the trip there are relayed by T'Pol as
the rest of the ship's compliment have all been rendered
unconcious!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Sub Commander T'Pol,
Captain Jonathan Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III, Ensign
Hoshi Sato, Dr. Phlox, Ensign Travis Mayweather & Lt. Malcolm
Reed! C+

EPISODE 10: VANISHING POINT(Nov. 27, 2002):

Hoshi and Trip are on a planet on a survay mission and a
storm comes up endangering them so they end up having to
use the transporter to get off the planet quickly! They
both appear none the worse for the experience! But Hoshi
starts feeling very strange and feels that things are not
right!

To make things worse, there are aliens on board about to
blow up the ship, and Hoshi's the only one who knows!

Very reminiscent of Star Trek: TOS's "The Tholean Web", as
well as TNGs "The Next Phase"!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Hoshi Sato
Commander Charles Tucker III, Captain Jonathan Archer, Sub
Commander T'Pol, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Ensign Travis Mayweather &
Dr. Phlox! A

EPISODE 11: PRECIOUS CARGO(Dec. 11, 2002):

The ship is hailed by another cargo ship that has a
problem with a cargo pod that's carrying a young woman
to points unknown! Trip is tasked with repairing the
stasis pod, and things seem to be going swimmingly,
until-----!!

The actress in this is terrible! Course it's possible that
she was told to act the way she did, which wouldn't be
surprising from Braga/Berman!

As someone on IMDb mentioned, this is very reminiscent of
the TOS episode "Elaan Of Troyius"!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Charles
Tucker III, Captain Jonathan Archer, Sub Commander T'Pol,
Ensign Hoshi Sato, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Ensign Travis
Mayweather!

The doctor is not in this at all!!B

EPISODE 12: THE CATWALK(Dec. 18, 2002):

While preparing to go down to an uninhabited planet, Enterprse
gets a visit from a ship whose occupants say they in need of
coming aboard the ship and that the Enterprise then needs to
warp out of the area at warp 7! There's some sort of space
storm heading toward them at a high warp, and if it catches
up with them bad things will happen, like people dying!!
Obviously, the ship can't outrun the storm, so they come up
with an idea to move the whole crew to - wait for it - THE
CATWALK!!!

Course then, all this is hinging on whether or not the crew
can believe the new visitors!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Charles
Tucker III, Captain Jonathan Archer, Sub Commander T'Pol,
Lt. Malcolm Reed, Dr. Phlox, Ensign Travis Mayweather &
Ensign Hoshi Sato! A

EPISODE 13: DAWN(Jan. 08, 2003):

Commander Tucker is doing some research and while survaying
a planet and its many moons gets shot down in his shuttle
craft and crash lands on one of the moons! His attacker also
ends up on the same moon stranded, and they have to work
together to try to get off and back to their respective
ships!

This is very reminiscent of the movie Enimy Mine!!

There is a deleted scene for this episode!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Charles
Tucker III, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Captain Jonathan Archer, Lt.
Malcolm Reed, Sub Commander T'Pol, Ensign Travis Mayweather
& Dr. Phlox! A-

EPISODE 14: STIGMA(Feb. 05, 2003):

Main story is about T'Pol and the fact that she has contracted
a disease that is supposedly caused by mind melds! This gets her
into a lot of trouble with the Vulcan physicians on the planet
where a medical conferance is being held, and they're threatening
to send her back to Vulcan to see if she's still fit for duty
aboard the Enterprise! Secondary story, one of Phlox's wives
is on board to help with installing a complex neutron microscope,
and she seems to have taken a liking to Trip!

This episode was in part due to a request by Viacom to all of
their shows to do a show about incurable deseases, because of
the AIDS epidemic! This was Enterprise's response!

Another deleted scene here!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Phlox, Sub
Commander T'Pol, Captain Jonathan Archer, Commander Charles
Tucker III, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Lt. Malcolm Reed & Ensign
Travis Mayweather! A-

EPISODE 15: CEASE FIRE(Feb. 12, 2003):

Archer is asked by the Andorians to mediate a peace fire
and truce between them and the Vulcans!

Of course, the Vulcans are not only reluctant, but almost
combative in their not wanting to try to negotiate!!

And yet another deleted scene here!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III, Sub Commander T'Pol,
Dr. Phlox, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Ensign Hoshi Sato & Ensign
Travis Mayweather!

Jefrey Combs & Vaughn Armstrong return here! Also guest
starring is Suzie Plakson(K'Ehleyr from Star Trek: TNG)!! A

EPISODE 16: FUTURE TENSE(Feb. 19, 2003):

The Enterprise comes upon a derelict ship that's a cunundrum!
It's bigger on the inside than the outside!!! The occupant
inside is dead - and human! No explanations on how a human
could have gotten so far out in space before the Enterprise!
Oh, and it appears that the Suliban, along with the Tholians,
really want the ship badly!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Sub Commander T'Pol, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Dr. Phlox
Commander Charles Tucker III, Ensign Travis Mayweather &
Ensign Hoshi Sato!

Vaughn Armstrong again returns here! A

EPISODE 17: CANAMAR(Feb. 26, 2003):

After making a first contact Trip and the Captain are
abducted by Nausicans who are taking them to be tried
as smugglers! While on the penal ship, there's a rebellion
on board and the two are caught in the middle!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Hoshi Sato,
Sub Commander T'Pol, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Dr. Phlox, Commander
Charles Tucker III, Captain Jonathan Archer & Ensign Travis
Mayweather! A

EPISODE 18: THE CROSSING(Apr. 02, 2003):

The ship is taken hostage by a much larger ship! The reason:
is unclear until one of a non-corporeal being takes over Trip!

I don't particularly care for Archer's attitude in this, as
he immediately decides these non-corporeals are evil! While
this may or may not be the case, to assume this right off the
bat without trying to find out more information is irresponsible!
And instead of trying to find a way to help these beings, they
decide to kill them!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Malcolm Reed,
Sub Commander T'Pol, Captain Jonathan Archer, Ensign Hoshi Sato
Commander Charles Tucker III, Dr. Phlox & Ensign Travis Mayweather! A-

EPISODE 19: JUDGMENT(Apr. 09, 2003):

Archer is on trial for atrocities against the Klingon
Empire! The way that the Klingon witness tells it, Archer
aided some rebels to escape them! Course, we know that the
testimony has multiple holes in it! A typical Klingon type
episode, whether it be this series, TNG, or DS9!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Dr. Phlox, Sub Commander T'Pol, Ensign Hoshi Sato,
Lt. Malcolm Reed, Ensign Travis Mayweather & Commander
Charles Tucker III!

Guest starring here is J.G. Hertler(Star Trek: DS9s Martok)!! B+

EPISODE 20: HORIZON(Apr. 16, 2003):

The Enterprise is on its way to a routine mission surveying
a planet that's got a lot of techtonic activity when Ensign
Mayweather asks if he could drop in on his family as they
will be close to their cargo ship! He finds out that his
father has passed away, and he's having a tough time dealing
with it, and the fact that his brother is the new captain and
is very hateful because Travis left the ship for the Federation!
And their new captain is really against him hanging around and
trying to upgrade their ship!

Side story, the ship's movies for the week are Frankenstein,
Bride Of Frankenstein & Son Of Frankenstein, and Trip is
trying to talk T'Pol into going, but she's more than reluctant
to go!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Travis
Mayweather, Sub Commander T'Pol, Captain Jonathan Archer,
Commander Charles Tucker III, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Dr. Phlox
& Ensign Hoshi Sato(seen but not heard)!

Guest starring here is one of the best actors of all time,
Boris Karloff(ok, he's only in a shot of a film that the
crew is watching of Frankenstein, but still, it's BORIS
KARLOFF)!!!!!

This is a great personal piece for Mayweather! A

EPISODE 21: THE BREACH(Apr. 23, 2003):

Two stories here, Dr. Phlox asks Captain Archer to retrieve
some Denobulan scientists on a planet whose ruling caste has
order all off-worlders to get off their planet! Trip, Mayweather
and Reed go down to the planet to search through the catacombs
under the planet to try to find them, with several little adventures
happening along the way!

Secondly, the Enterprise helps out a ship in distress that's
leaving said planet and some of the occupants on the ship
have sustained injuries! Dr. Phlox to the rescue, 'cept
there's on patient who refuses the good doctor's help because
of a war that happened 300 years ago, and he's still holding
a grudge!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Hoshi Sato,
Dr. Phlox, Ensign Travis Mayweather,Commander Charles Tucker
III, Captain Jonathan Archer, Lt. Malcolm Reed & Sub Commander
T'Pol! A-

EPISODE 22: COGENITOR(Apr. 30, 2003):

While studying a star headed to super-nova in a couple of
years the ship comes upon another ship studying the same
star! They are somewhat advanced and Archer and the crew
are trying to learn as much as they can. One of the many
differences between the two races is that there are three
sexes! The third sex is called a cogenitor(hence the name)
and is treated as a third class citizen, without rights or
responsibilities, not allowed to learn or help out in thier
society except to help couples pro-create! This bothers Trip
and he starts pocking his nose into places that he probably
should have left alone!

Some strong resemblences to the Star Trek: TOS episode "The
Cloud Minders"!!

This has so many plot holes in it it's hard not to point
them all out without ruining the story. Suffice to say,
none of this should ever have happened!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Sub Commander T'Pol,
Lt. Malcolm Reed, Captain Jonathan Archer, Commander Charles
Tucker III, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Dr. Phlox & Ensign Travis
Mayweather(seen but not heard)!

Guest starring here is the always great Andreas Katsulas(J'Kar
on Babylon 5)!!!!!! B-

EPISODE 23: REGENERATION(May 07, 2003):

I HATE THE BORG!!!!

WHAT? WHY? HOW?:
What the Hell were they thinking introducing the Borg in
this series????
Why the Hell would they do this????
How the Hell can this even possibly be a happenstance
at the time of Archer and crew??????

This is stupid beyond belief and the worst episode in all
of Star Trek!!! Leave it to Braga and Berman to fuck up
a pretty decent series!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Commander Charles Tucker III, Ensign
Hoshi Sato, Sub Commander T'Pol, Ensign Travis Mayweather &
Dr. Phlox!

Guest starring here are a returning Vaughn Armstrong! FFFFFFFFFFF-

EPISODE 24: FIRST FLIGHT(May 14, 2003):

An old friend of Archers, a Captain Robinson, has died in an
accident on "Mount McKinley", and it has put Archer in a mood
to reflect on his relationship with AG! Also going on is a
dark matter nebula that's being observed by the ship, and
the captain and T'Pol go out to investigate!

After the last episode, this is definitely a breath of
fresh air!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Sub Commander
T'Pol, Captain Jonathan Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III
& Ensign Hoshi Sato!

Lt. Malcolm Reed, Ensign Travis Mayweather & Dr. Phlox are
not in this!!

Vaughn Armstrong returns again! Also here is Keith Carridine
one of the many Carridine family members of the acting community! A

EPISODE 25: BOUNTY(May 14, 2003):

The Enterprise comes upon a Tellorite ship whose occupant
offers to help the crew sight-see on a planet that they
are investigating! When the two ships dock, the Tellorite
promptly stuns both Tucker and Archer, and takes Archer
hostage to be given to the Klingons! Side story, the good
doctor and T'Pol, while on the same planet, have picked
up a "bug" that triggers T'Pol's Pon farr!!

The first plot is pretty good, the Pon farr part, not so
much!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Jonathan
Archer, Commander Charles Tucker III, Lt. Malcolm Reed
Ensign Hoshi Sato, Sub Commander T'Pol, Dr. Phlox &
Ensign Travis Mayweather!

Guest starring here is Robert O'Reilly(Gowran on Star Trek:
TNG & DS9)! B+

EPISODE 26: THE EXPANSE(May 21, 2003):

More on the Klingon's hatred of Archer! Duras out after
Archer, AGAIN! This plot line is getting really old!

Also going on, there's an attack the Earth. This is
because of the temperal timeline crap again! Again,
this is getting really old!

This starts the downhill run for this series, not that
it started with a bang! The whole next season is devoted
to the story line that's set up in this episode! Too bad,
as some of the previous episodes were actually quite good!

The Suliban return, a species that, like the Borg, makes
no sense at all, especially when you consider that there
was no mentioned of these in the original Trek!

There are two deleted scenes here!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Malcolm Reed,
Commander Charles Tucker III, Ensign Hoshi Sato, Ensign
Travis Mayweather, Dr. Phlox, Captain Jonathan Archer &
Sub Commander T'Pol!

And again we have Vaughn Armstron returning!

This story line continues next season! C(because
of the complete stupidity of the episode)!!

From an IMDb.com customer:

Many people have stated what they feel is wrong
with this series. I think I just might have the
answer: the show has no sense of the fantastic.
Remember Kirk and the doomsday machine? Picard
meeting himself from 6 hours in the future? The
Enterprise meeting a giant space amoeba? The idea
now seems to be 'if it isn't within current scientific
journals we don't do it'. Berman must accept the
blame for this. ST:TNG was a super show, and DS9
started out that way. As soon as Roddenberry was
gone - poof! Berman decided to turn DS9 into a space
war series, and to have the starship Voyager get
it's butt kicked every week. This is Star Trek - we
need heroes to boldly go 'out there'. This was the
idea for 'Enterprise'...then, guess what? The
Xindi - and ANOTHER space war! Look, when I want
that I'll pop in my 'Battlestar Galactica' dvds.
Make 'Star Trek' 'Star Trek' again - you have a
great cast...now give them great 'Star Trek'
stories! - Moondog-6
