STAR TREK - THE NEXT GENERATION SEASON 6(1992-1993)
SPACE, THE FINAL FRONTIER! THESE ARE THE VOYAGES
OF THE STARSHIP: ENTERPRISE! IT'S CONTINUING MISSION:
TO EXPLORE STRANGE NEW WORLDS, TO SEEK OUT NEW
LIFE AND NEW CIVILIZATIONS, TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO
ONE HAS GONE BEFORE!!
The sixth season, with most of the main cast still here, including
Lt. Reginald Barclay, Nurse Ogawa and Chief Miles O'Brien, along
with recurring characters Q, Keiko O'Brien, Alexander Rozhenko,
Lwaxana Troi & Mott the barber!!
EPISODE 1: TIME'S ARROW PART II(Sept. 21, 1992):
Continued from the last episode of the fifth season,
in this the crew are still hunting for Data's head!! I know
really a kind of dumb plot!! But still a fun show, believe it
or not!! The whole show is really about a race that's using
Earth people to feed on!! One thing I really don't care for
in this is the way that Samuel Clemons(Mark Twain) is
represented!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data,
Commander Riker, Dr. Crusher, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander La
Forge, Guinan, Counselor Troi & Lt. Worf!! A-
EPISODE 2: REALM OF FEAR(Sept. 28, 1992):
While transporting to a ship that had been lost, Reginald
Barclay encounters something in the transport that scares
the Hell out of him!! This is of course looked on with doubt
by the rest of the command crew as a figment of his imagination!
He had already said that he is adverse to transporting, a la Dr.
Leonard McCoy!! That is, until it happens while doing some
experiments to discover what happened on the other ship!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard,
Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander Data, Lt.
Commander La Forge, Lt. Barclay, Chief O'Brien, Dr. Crusher,
Counselor Troi & Nurse Ogawa!! A
EPISODE 3: MAN OF THE PEOPLE(Oct. 5, 1992):
Counselor Troi gets involved with yet another bad dude!! He
and his "mother" beam aboard from another ship, and nothing
with the man is as it seems! He's an ambassador headed to a planet
to negotiate a peace treaty between two warring factions on a Federation
planet! This is another really weak episode!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data,
Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Captain Picard, Counselor Troi, Dr.
Crusher, Lt. Commander La Forge & Nurse Ogawa!! B
EPISODE 4: RELICS(Oct. 12, 1992):
One of the best of all Star Trek episodes, this has the return of
Captain Alexander Scott!! He'd been trapped in a transporter
for over two centuries when the Enterprise comes upon him
while doing some research on a Dyson Sphere with a ship crash
landed upon it!! The observations by those who review this episode
about Geordi being an asshole to Scotty are quite accurate! While
this is very disturbing, it still doesn't detract from the fact that we
get to see one of the greatest actors to have graced us with his
work on Star Trek!!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data,
Commander Riker, Captain Picard, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander La
Forge & Dr. Crusher!! A+
EPISODE 5: SCHISMS(Oct. 19, 1992):
It starts with Riker not being able to sleep, then the rest of the
crew starts having issues with "feeling odd"!! Turns out that all of
the affected people were transported off the Enterprise and
used as experimental guinea pigs for a race of humanoids that
want to know more about humans!! Very creepy!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Riker,
Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Dr. Crusher,
Lt. Worf, Mott the barber, Captain Picard & Counselor Troi!! A-
EPISODE 6: TRUE-Q(Oct. 26, 1992):
And HE's back!! Q comes back to the Enterprise when he hears
about a new passenger aboard who has exceptional talent!! This
is hard to rate, as it borders between really wonderful and really
silly!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Dr.
Crusher, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander
La Forge, Counselor Troi & Lt. Worf!! A-
EPISODE 7: RASCALS(Nov. 2, 1992):
While coming back from an archaeological expedition, Captain
Picard, Guinan, Ensign Ro & Keiko O'Brien run into an emergency
and have to be beamed off of the shuttle craft!! No problem, except
for one minor problem: they are all in the bodies of children!!!! This
has a lot of complications to it, not the least is how Miles handles
Keiko!!!!! Other problems are in play here, but the main story is
about the kids and how the rest of crew react to them!! And then,
just when you think this is just a piece of fluff, Ferengi overtake the
the Enterprise and the kids become the only hope for getting rid of
them!!
While a silly episode, the kids here do a phenomenal job of re-creating
their adult counterparts, especially Guinan's and Keiko's!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Guinan,
Ensign Ro, Keiko O'Brien, Dr. Crusher, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf,
Chief O'Brien, Lt. Commander Data, Counselor Troi, Lt. Commander
La Forge & Alexander Rozhenko!! A-
EPISODE 8: A FISTFULL OF DATAS(Nov. 09, 1992):
After the weakness of the last two episodes, we expect this one
to come roaring back to greatness!! Welp, no!! This takes fluff to
another level!!! While waiting for a rendezvous with a supply ship,
the crew chose several different ways of spending their free time!
Most notably, Alexander wants to play old west with his father Worf
and they go to a holodeck to have some fun in the old west!! Problem:
Data has taken over several of the computer programs, including
the holodeck, which puts Worf and Alexander in great danger!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Lt.
Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Worf,
Alexander Rozhenko, Counselor Troi & Commander Riker!! A
EPISODE 9: THE QUALITY OF LIFE(Nov. 16, 1992):
This brings to mind the episode about whether or not Data is a
sentient being!! Robots are being used in a mining colony in a
very dangerous area, and Data believes that these machines should
have the choice to make their own decision on whether or not to do
it!
Starring, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander La Forge,
Commander Riker, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data, Captain Picard,
& Counselor Troi!!! A
EPISODE 10: CHAIN OF COMMAND, PART I(Dec. 14, 1992):
An admiral beams aboard the Enterprise and promptly relieves the
good captain of command!! The reason: so he, Worf and Crusher can
go on a secret mission to Cardassian space to find out what they are
up to!! The crew's reaction to a new captain is less than stellar!!
Mainly because he seems to be giving a lot of orders that just doesn't
make any sense!!
This is the first part of a two part episode which is quite disturbing!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Commander
Riker, Counselor Troi, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Worf, Dr. Crusher & Lt.
Commander La Forge! A
EPISODE 11: CHAIN OF COMMAND, PART II(Jan. 21, 1992):
Continuing from the previous episode, this has Picard in the Cardassian
part of space and in a heap of trouble! And the new captain appears to
be ready to plunge the Federation into war with the Cardassians!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Commander
Riker, Dr. Crusher, Counselor Troi, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander
La Forge & Lt. Worf!! A
EPISODE 12: SHIP IN A BOTTLE(Jan. 25, 1993):
Professor Moriarty is back, and he's walking the decks of the Enterprise!
Also happening is two planets are about to collide with each other and
the Enterprise is there to record the event!! While another piece of fluff, this
one is quite enjoyable!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Lt.
Commander La Forge, Lt. Barclay, Captain Picard, Dr. Crusher, Counselor
Troi, Commander Riker & Lt. Worf!! A
EPISODE 13: AQUIEL(Feb. 01, 1993):
Geordi is one of four members of an away team on a subspace station
that appears to be abandoned!! But then they find evidence that one of
the two crewmembers aboard the station has been vaporized!! And by
a Klingon disruptor!! One of the issues, as usual with Geordi, he falls in
love with a presumed dead woman!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander
La Forge, Lt. Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander
Data & Counselor Troi!! A
EPISODE 14: FACE OF THE ENEMY(Feb. 08, 1993):
Deanna Troi wakes up as a Romulan!! A bad dream? Nope, she's being
used to help move some cargo from Romulan territory to Federation
territory!!
While not present here, Ambassador Spock's name is dropped many times
here!!
This is a very good espionage episode!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Counselor Troi, Lt. Worf,
Dr. Crusher, Commander Riker, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander Data,
Lt. Commander La Forge!! A
EPISODE 15: TAPESTRY(Feb. 15, 1993):
Another episode that focus' on Captain Picard and his mortality!!
He has been badly hurt and is in a coma visited by non-other than
Q! He's there to show Picard his life as it could be, a la Scrooge!!
Meanwhile, the Enterprise crew are doing all that they can to bring
him back!!
While another piece of fluff, in ways, this is quite a good story!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Commander Riker,
Lt. Worf, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander Data, Dianna Troi & Lt. Commander
La Forge(heard but not seen)!! A+
EPISODE 16: BIRTHRIGHT, PART I(Feb. 22, 1993):
The Enterprise is docked at DS9 to help with repairs after the Cardassians
relinquished command of the station and they trashed the place!! While there,
a man comes to Worf and tells him that his father is still alive and a prisoner
on a planet near by!! There is a sub-story here about Data dreaming!! VERY
BORING!!!!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Captain Picard, Lt.
Worf, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Commander Riker &
Counselor Troi!!
From DS9 is Dr. Bashir(Alexander Siddig[as Siddig El Fadil), Morn(seen but
not heard!!), ! B+
EPISODE 17: BIRTHRIGHT, PART II(Mar. 01, 1993):
Continued from the previous episode, this delves deeper into the Klingon
culture, and their view of honor!!! Absolutely ununderstandable from a
human point of view!! This is an incredibly bigoted episode!! And a very sad
study on Worf!!!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf, Commander Riker, Captain
Picard, Lt. Commander La Forge & Dr. Crusher!! B-
EPISODE 18: STARSHIP MINE(Mar. 29, 1993):
The Enterprise has been abandoned by all hands!! This is so a baryon
sweep can be done that would kill all humans there! One problem: there's
still one person left, Captain Picard!! And it appears that the personnel
are doing more than just the sweep!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Counselor Troi, Captain Picard,
Dr. Crusher, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander La
Forge & Lt. Worf!!
Guest starring here is Tim Russ(Star Trek: Voyager) & Patricia Tallman
(Babylon 5)!! A
EPISODE 19: LESSONS(Apr. 05, 1993):
There's a new science officer in Stellar Cartagrophy, and Captain Picard
is starting to have feelings for her!! The problem: it becomes necessary
to send her on a very dangerous assignment!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Lt. Commander
Data, Commander Riker, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Worf &
Counselor Troi!!!
This is a another really good episode!! There is some absolutely wonderful
music in this!! A
EPISODE 20: THE CHASE(Apr. 26, 1993):
An old professor of Picard's shows up to make an offer to him
to go out on an archaology expedition that may hold the key to
the whole universe!!
This may seem very boring to some, but if you stick with it, it's
worth the watch!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data,
Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Dr. Crusher, Counselor Troi,
Lt. Worf & Lt. Commander La Forge!!
Guest starring here is Norman Lloyd(he is, at 4/26/2017) the oldest
living actor from any Star Trek series, and no one from Star Trek has
ever lived that long!! A
EPISODE 21: FRAME OF MIND(May 03, 1993):
Another episode where Riker is going nuts!! OK, this is him in a play!!
Or is it? It seems to be flowing over into his real life, and it's getting harder
and harder to separate the two!!
This is a weird episode!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Riker, Lt.
Commander Data, Dr. Crusher, Captain Picard, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander
La Forge & Counselor Troi!! B
EPISODE 22: SUSPICIONS(May 10, 1993):
A Ferengi scientist(yah, I know, but this isn't a joke!!) thinks that he has
developed a extremely useful shield that would be able to protect a craft,
even from flying into a star!! Several scientists from other worlds meet with
him and Beverly, who is responsible for getting them all together! But when
the shield is tested, something goes wrong and the pilot of the craft dies!
The Ferengi is certain that this should have worked and goes about to prove
it, when he also winds up dead!! This puts Beverly in a position of having to
find answers to all of what's going on!!
A surprisingly good episode with the good doctor as the focal point of the
episode, which usually isn't the case!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Guinan, Lt. Commander
Data, Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Nurse Ogawa, Lt. Commander
La Forge & Counselor Troi!! A
EPISODE 23: RIGHTFUL HEIR(May 17, 1993):
This one's all about Worf, again!! He's obsessed with calling upon the highly
revered Kahless, the ancient Klingon warrior that Klingon lore says will unite
all of Klingon!! But when the Klingon actually appears, there is doubt in many
of the Klingons now walking the universe that the man is really who he claims
to be!! And here, again, Worf shows his "holier Than Thou" attitude, which is
very distasteful!!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Commander
Riker, Lt. Worf, Captain Picard & Dr. Crusher! (Notice the number of characters
noticeably missing: La Forge & Troi! This episode did not suffer from the absence
of these characters at all!!)!! B+
EPISODE 24: SECOND CHANCES(May 24, 1993):
Riker and an away team beam to a planet to retrieve some experiments
that had been left there several years prior!! While on the planet, Wil meets
up with, well, Wil!!! Our first chance to meet Thomas Riker!!
Riker "plays" the trombone again!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Riker, Counselor,
Troi, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Worf, Captain Picard & Lt.
Commander La Forge! A
EPISODE 25: TIMESCAPE(June 14, 1993):
This is incredibly screwed up!! Almost impossible to follow! However, it
is interesting to see how the four aboard the shuttle craft deal with a
nearly un-understandable situation dealing with time!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Commander Riker,
Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander La Forge, Captain Picard &
Counselor Troi!! B+
EPISODE 26: DESCENT, PART I(June 21, 1993):
Oh, goody!!!!! The f*c*i*g Borg are back!! I HATE THE BORG!!!!!!!!!!@!!!!!!!!!
Even more exciting: this is a two part episode, which means that the first
episode of the last season is ALSO about the Borg!!!! Oh, and just to make
the whole thing even more un-palatable, they bring in LORE!!! Jez, can we
get any more fun??!!!@#$%
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Commander
Riker, Captain Picard, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander La Forge, Counselor Troi &
Dr. Crusher!!
Guest starring here is is one of the greatest scientific minds in our history,
Stephen Hawkins(the only bright spot in the whole episode!!)!! FFFFFFFFFFF

From an IMDb.com customer:
This show continues the excellence provided by the
original Star Trek. Set some 75 years after Kirk's adventures,
The Next Generation was an excellent show and provided
state-of-the-art special effects. I recommend it to any science
fiction fan. - mattkratz
