STAR TREK: THE NEW VOYAGES:
THE HOLIEST THING(2014)
Again, Charles Root does a great job in this!! The story
is good!! Jacy King isn't very strong as Carol Marcus!!
And, without any explanation, John Kelley has returned
after a one episode hiatus!
The gist of the story is that Carol Marcus and company
are on a planet experimenting on her terra forming
project(which of course we see a continuation of in
Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan and the culmination of in
Star Trek III: The Search For Spock)! While there,
there is an accident and the whole base explodes,
killing everyone except Carol and Scotty, who's down
on the planet as an observer!! A investigation ensues
to find out if there was sabotage involved!!
This has a known, but not to TOS, species in the Feringi!!
The last McCoyism is here, "I'm a doctor, not a magician"!
This episode has a new Scotty, kinda, in that Carl
Sheldon plays Captain Scott as he appeared in the
TNG episode "Relics"! He does a fine job!!
A big fauxpa here: Carol tells Jim that she's pregnant,
whereas in the movie, Jim was surprised to find that
he had a son!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Montgomery
Scott, Dr. Leonard McCoy, Captain James T. Kirk, Commander
Spock, Lt. Uhura & Lt. Sulu!
Again, no Chekov or DeSalle! A-
