STAR TREK - VOYAGER SEASON 3 PAGE

STAR TREK - VOYAGER SEASON 3(1996-97)

All the regular cast members return for this third season,
with it being Jennifer Lien's final full season:)! An addition
here, starting with "Fair Trade", is Alexander Enberg(Ensign
Vorik, the second Vulcan on Voyager) who was in nine episodes,
through the fourth season episode "Renesaince Man"!

EPISODE 1: BASICS PART 2(Aug. 28, 1995):

Continuing from the last episode, the ship has been overrun
by the Kazons, most of the crew are stranded on a hostile
planet, The Doctor is beside himself to figure out what to
do & Tom Paris is still missing while looking for help! And
everything appears to come down to The Doctor and Mr. Suder!

Here we have "I'm a doctor, not a counterinsurgent!"

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Chakotay,
Captain Kathryn Janeway, Neelix, Lt. Tom Paris, Kes, Security
Chief Lt. Tuvok, The Doctor, Ensign Harry Kim & Lt. B'Elanna
Torres!!

This is actually a very good episode, and a fitting end to
a couple of sub-cast members! A+

EPISODE 2: FLASHBACK(Sept. 04, 1995):

Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear!
No, not the Lone Ranger, but Tuvok's dealings with Captain
Sulu!!(Yep, THAT Sulu)! Also here is Commander Rand!!

Tuvok is having flashbacks to his time during the movie
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country when the ship
approaches a gas nebula for sirillium, a possible fuel
source for the ship! This triggers a memory that has been
apparently repressed about a girl that he was trying to
save from falling to her death!

A bit of trivia here: Tim Russ(Tuvok) was not in Star Trek
VI: The Undiscovered Country!! He was, however, in Star
Trek VII: Generations!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Security
Chief Lt. Tuvok, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Lt. B'Elanna Torres,
Commander Chakotay, Ensign Harry Kim, Lt. Tom Paris, Kes &
The Doctor!

Guest starring here are George Takei(as Captain Sulu) and
Grace Lee Whitney(as Commander Janice Rand)! Also here is
the great Michael Ansara as Captain Kang! A+(only because
of the great Takei, Ansara and Whitney being here!!)!

EPISODE 3: THE CHUTE(Sept. 11, 1995):

It appears that Tom and Harry were on shore leave when
there was a bombing of some sort, and they have been
blamed for it!

This one is too dark for me!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Harry
Kim, Lt. Tom Paris, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Security
Chief Lt. Tuvok, Commander Chakotay, Lt. B'Elanna Torres,
Neelix, The Doctor & Kes! B+

EPISODE 4: THE SWARM(Sept. 18, 1995):

While on a survey Torres and Paris are attacked! It appears
that they have had their brains scrambled! Not only that, but
the Doctor appears to be having memory problems!

All the problems are based around some REALLY small ships
that are "attacking" Voyager, as well as the shuttle craft
that Tom and B'Elanna were on!

The Doctor sings!

A kind of "I'm a doctor" here: "I'm a diagonstic tool, not
an engineer"!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. B'Elanna Torres,
Lt. Tom Paris, The Doctor, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Security
Chief Lt. Tuvok, Kes, Ensign Harry Kim, Neelix & Commander
Chakotay!

EPISODE 5: FALSE PROFITS(Sept. 25, 1995):

Voyager stumbles upon a planet where the detect a replicator
being used! When they beam down, they find Ferengi!! Apparently
they got there by a wormhole that they bought in the Alpha
quadrant, but in the Delta quadrant it isn't stable, moving
around here and there! Needless to say, they want to find
out how to get back, and take the Ferengi with them! Looks
like a job for Superm-um no, a job for Neelix!!

One thing that's off here, there are several very attractive
women here - CLOTHED!!!! That goes against all that the
Ferengi beleive!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Harry Kim,
Commander Chakotay, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Lt. Tom Paris,
Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Neelix, The
Doctor, Kes!

This has Dan Shor who is reprising his role as Dr. Arridor
from Star Trek: TNG! A-

EPISODE 6: REMEMBER(Oct. 02, 1995):

The ship is headed to a planet that is home to several
passengers that they picked up on a colony where they'd
been for many years! These passengers have telepathic
abilities that seem to be affecting some of the crew
members! B'Elanna starts having very vivid and erotic
dreams revolving around an Enaran, while Harry finds
himself very drawn to one of the Enaran women! This
is only the beginning to some very strange happenings!

It is obvious right off the bat where B'Elanna is getting
her dreams from!

This is a comment on the Holocaust!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. B'Elanna
Torres Ensign Harry Kim, Commander Chakotay, Lt. Tom Paris,
Neelix, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok,
Kes & The Doctor!!

This guest stars Eugene Roche(Magnum P.I., Murder She
Wrote, Webster)! A

EPISODE 7: SACRED GROUND(Oct. 16, 1995):

While being shown their world, and the shrines there-in,
Kes stumbles upon a strange looking shrine and gets zapped!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Kes,
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Ensign Harry Kim, The Doctor, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Commander Chakotay & Security Chief Lt. Tuvok
No Lt. Tom Paris!

EPISODE 8: FUTURE'S END PART 1(Oct. 30, 1995):

This starts out with a dude in 1967 witnessing, well,
we don't get to see! Then fast forward to the present
and Voyager is attacked by a ship that the occupant says
that they are responsible for the distruction of Earth
in the 29th century!!

A lot of time stuff going on here! After the attack, the
ship is pulled into the year 1997! They find the man who
attacked the ship, and they also run accross the man who
had the sighting in 1967!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Commander Chakotay, Ensign
Harry Kim, Lt. Tom Paris, Kes, Neelix, Lt. B'Elanna Torres &
The Doctor!

Guest starring here is Ed Begley Jr.(Ghostbusters, Boston
Legal, St. Elsewhere, Battlestar Gallactica(1979), Mary
Hartman Mary Hartman, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes! The
son of Ed Begley, famous for many, many movies including
12 Angry Men, Hang Em' High, !)!

Continued in the next episode! A

EPISODE 9: FUTURE'S END PART 2(Nov. 06, 1995):

Continued from the previous episode!

The group is still trying to figure out how to straighten
out the time paradox going on here!

"I'm a doctor, not a data base" here!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Tom Paris,
Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Commander Chakotay, Lt. B'Elanna
Torres, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Ensign Harry Kim, Neelix,
Kes & The Doctor! A

EPISODE 10: WARLORD(Nov. 13, 1995):

Voyager comes upon a ship that's on the verge of distruction
and they beam aboard the only crew on it! One of the crew
doesn't make it! So they offer to take them to their home
world. In the interim, Kes is not feeling herself, and
it all seems to be tied to their new passengers! Hmmmm!

Everything comes clear very quickly, and Kes is, again,
in peril for her life! And sadly, this takes a horrible
turn for my favorite actress in this show!!

I HATE this episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Ensign
Harry Kim, Lt. Tom Paris, Kes, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok,
Commander Chakotay, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Lt. B'Elanna
Torres & The Doctor! F

EPISODE 11: THE Q AND THE GREY(Nov. 20, 1995):

Q returns for a really silly episode! He has chosen
Janeway to have his child!!

Not sure that silly is the exact word for it, more like
really, REALLY stupid!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Commander Chakotay, Neelix, Security Chief Lt.
Tuvok, Lt. Tom Paris, Ensign Harry Kim, Kes, The Doctor &
Lt. B'Elanna Torres!

And John deLancie is back again! And Suzie Plakson(Star
Trek: TOS as K'Ehleyr) is also here! B-

EPISODE 12: MICROCOSM(Nov. 27, 1995):

After a meeting with another race, Neelix and Janeway head
back to Voyager, only to find it abandoned and floating in
space!!

Much more serious than the last episode, this boarders on
horror! I'm not a fan of horror!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Ensign Harry Kim, The Doctor, Commander
Chakotay, Kes, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Lt. Tom Paris & Lt.
B'Elanna Torres! B-

EPISODE 13: FAIR TRADE(Jan. 24, 1996):

Neelix is really trying to find a niche for himself!
The crew, however, seem to be less than eager for him
to help them! He's feeling unneeded on the ship and
is concerned that Janeway will ask him to leave!

Meanwhile, the ship has come to an area that Neelix is
not familiar with, so he concocts a plan to get maps
from a less than reputable source! This puts Neelix in
a very precarious position!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Security
Chief Lt. Tuvok, Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Captain Kathryn Janeway,
Commander Chakotay, Lt. Tom Paris, The Doctor, Kes & Ensign
Vorik! A

EPISODE 14: ALTER EGO(Jan. 22, 1996):

Harry goes to Tuvok to help him purge himself of emotions!
The reason: he's in love - with a holodeck woman!! More here
than meets the eye, as Tuvok also finds himself falling for
this same woman!!! Of course this all makes sense by the end
of the episode!

Also going on here is that the crew are witnessing an "inversion
nebula", a nebula that burns out in only a few years. However,
the one they encounter seems to be centuries old! They think
that they may be able to learn something from this to help
with troubles with their warp core when it arises!

A fun but fluffy episode, and kind of silly!

This episode has, in order of appearance:Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Lt. Tom Paris, Commander Chakotay, Ensign Harry Kim,
Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Neelix, Kes, Lt. B'Elanna Torres,
The Doctor & Ensign Vorik! A

EPISODE 15: CODA(Jan. 29, 1996):

So this time, Captain Janeway and Chakotay get stranded
on a planet! It seems as though they're going through the
entire crew to get their time with her! They appear to have
been shot down by someone, and it looks like Vidiians!

And in this one, they are in a time loop, where-in they
keep repeating the same experiences over and over, with
different results each time! The worst being that the
the captain contracts the phage, and the captain dies!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Neelix, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Commander Chakotay, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok,
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, The Doctor, Kes, Lt. Tom Paris & Ensign
Harry Kim!

Guest starring here is Len Cariou(Blue Bloods, Murder She
Wrote)! A

EPISODE 16: BLOOD FEVER(Feb. 05, 1996):

Vorik, the Vulcan Ensign on board other than Tuvok, is
experiencing Pon farr and decides that B'Elanna is the
perfect fit for him!! Neeless to say, she is not quite
as thrilled with the prospect as he is! This gets Tom
Paris involved, as B'Elanna is also affected by the
things that Vorik is going through and she has become
incredibly combative and Tom is the recipient of her
anger.... and her passion!

This is a pale imitation of Star Trek: TOS' episode
"Amok Time", as Vorik is a pale imitation of Spock,
even though the story itself had merit!

Until the very last scene, this was a B+ episode! But
I HATE THE BORG!!!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Ensign Vorik
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Lt. Tom Paris, Ensign Harry Kim,
Commander Chakotay, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Kes, The Doctor & Neelix! F

EPISODE 17: UNITY(Feb. 12, 1996):

Chakotay and an Ensign to be killed later respond to
a distress signal on a planet! And of course Chakotay
gets hurt and some of the people that are on the
planet offer to help, by turning him into a Borg!

Continuing kind of from the previous episode where at
the end the crew run across a dead Borg, the ship runs
across a Borg ship, and while trying to find out more
about the Borg, the Doctor accidently activates one
while doing an autopsy. This is stupid beyond words!!! And,
I
HATE
THE
BORG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Chakotay,
Lt. Tom Paris, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Security Chief Lt.
Tuvok, Ensign Harry Kim, Lt. B'Elanna Torres, The Doctor,
Kes & Neelix! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

EPISODE 18: DARKLING(Feb. 19, 1996):

Kes is helping with getting information on what lies
ahead of the Voyager on their trip home! It seems that
she's getting really attached to one of the natives!
And it also seems that he is not all that he appears
to be! And the same could be said for the Doctor!!

Also going on here, The Doctor is attempting to better
himself, and he seems to have gone a little overboard!

This episode has, in order of appearance:Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Kes, Neelix, The Doctor, Lt. B'Elanna Torres,
Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Lt. Tom Paris, Ensign Harry
Kim & Commander Chakotay! B

EPISODE 19: RISE(Feb. 26, 1996):

The Voyager crew are trying to help a planet that's being
bombarded with asteroids!

Meanwhile Neelix has been assigned to Tuvok's team and
he's very anxious about it, as it seems that Tuvok always
finds issues with Neelix, and Neelix really wants to get
into Tuvok's favour! And it doesn't help that the shuttle
crashed on the planet, and that Tuvok doesn't think that
Neelix is of any use at all!!

It dawns on me that Tuvok has taken on the role of Warf
from DS9 in that he is quite brusk with Neelix, as well
other members of the crew!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Commander Chakotay, Ensign
Harry Kim, Lt. Tom Paris, Neelix, The Doctor, Kes & Lt.
B'Elanna Torres!!

Guest starring here is Alan Oppenheimer(Buck Rogers, The
Six Million Dollar Man, Star Trek: TNG episode "Rightfull
Heir" & Star Trek: DS9 episode "The Jem'Hadar")! A

EPISODE 20: FAVORITE SON(Mar. 13, 1996):

Harry Kim is having deja vu, and saves the ship from an
attack! Then he breaks out in spots! The crew wind up
on the Taresian planet where, to everyones surprise, Harry
is told that he is Taresian! Hmmmmm, doesn't seem to make
any sense! And why is there only one man here for a ton
of women? There appears to be something very fishy here!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander
Chakotay, Ensign Harry Kim, Security Chief Tuvok, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Kes, The Doctor,
Lt. Tom Paris & Neelix!

Guest starring here is Patricia Tallman(Babylon 5)! A

EPISODE 21: BEFORE AND AFTER(Mar. 18, 1996):

Kes is experiencing kind of a backward time anomole.
She experiences something, then in seconds, is in
another scene which seems to be earlier in the day/
week/year?!

Some of the relationships here seem really weird,
Tom with Kes, Harry with her daughter, Chakotay
as the Captain, and of course no Janeway!

The Doctor goes by Dr. van Gogh, and Motzart!

This episode has, in order of appearance: The Doctor,
Kes, Captain(????) Chakotay, Lt. Tom Paris, Ensign
Harry Kim, Neelix, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Lt.
B'Elanna Torres & Captain Kathryn Janeway! B-

EPISODE 22: REAL LIFE(Apr. 08, 1996):

This starts out pretty crazy, with the Doctor saying
goodbye to his family before he goes to work!! He goes
from an ideal, 50's ish kind of family life to a more
realistic yet not really family!!

And the Voyager comes across a scientific colony that's
been wipped out by sources unknown! When they discover
what caused the distruction, they decide to investigate
to see if they can use some of the energy for their own
causes!

The ending makes this one of the best episodes of any
series I've ever watched!

And suddenly, Tom and B'Elanna are an item!

This episode has, in order of appearance: The Doctor,
Kes, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Ensign Harry, Kim, Captain
Kathryn Janeway, Commander Chakotay, Lt. Tom Paris, Lt.
B'Elanna Torres & Neelix! A+

EPISODE 23: DISTANT ORIGIN(Apr. 29, 1996):

The first 15 minutes of this is about another race and
a reserch for others that are their distant cousins!
They find the bones of a human who is obviously from
The Voyager! The higher rulers of this race are not
happy with this and accuse him of harresy, which means
that they are going to have to do this research on their
own!

When they beam themselves onto the Voyager, they cloak
themselves to alude being discovered, but hey are discovered
panic and one thing leads to another and Chakotay is taken
aboard their ship by one of the aliens, with the other being
left behind on Voyager! Both ships start doing research to
find out if there is a relationship between the humans and
the Voth!

This is basically about religion vs. science! A very sad
episode!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Tom Paris,
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Commander
Chakotay, Ensign Harry Kim, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok,
Neelix, The Doctor & Kes! A

EPISODE 24: DISPLACED(May 06, 1996):

People are disappering off of Voyager while aliens are
showing up! It turns out that the crew is not the first
to have this happen to them! Turns out they are being
sieged, with no apparent way back to their ship!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Tom Paris,
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, The Doctor, Captain Kathryn Janeway,
Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Ensign Harry Kim, Commander Chakotay,
Neelix & Kes! A

EPISODE 25: WORST CASE SCENARIO(May 13, 1996):

When this starts, it makes it look like there's a mutiny
on board Voyager! When Seska shows up, it makes Torres
what's really going on????

It's interesting to see the diference between B'Elanna's
appraoch to this and Tom's!

This is actually pretty fun!!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Chakotay,
Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Captain Kathryn Janeway, Security Chief
Lt. Tuvok, Ensign Harry Kim, Neelix, Kes, Lt. Tom Paris &
The Doctor! A

EPISODE 26: SCORPION(May 20, 1996):

Oh goody! Another two part episode!! I'm not a fan of
these, and having the Borg as a central plot point only
makes things twice as bad!!! And if it's even possible,
something even worst than the Borg!

The only bright spot in this whole episode is John Rhys-
Davies who plays Leonardo da Vinci!

This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Kathryn
Janeway, Commander Chakotay, Lt. B'Elanna Torres, Lt.
Tom Paris, Security Chief Lt. Tuvok, Ensign Harry Kim,
The Doctor, Neelix & Kes!

Guest starring here is the great John Rhys-Davies(Raiders
Of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, Lord
Of The Rings: 1: The Fellowship Of The Ring, Lord Of The
Rings: 2: The Two Towers, Lord Of The Rings 3: The Return
Of The King, Sliders as well as several Murder She Wrote &
Perry Mason episodes!)! B(ONLY for the great Rhys-Davies!!)

From an IMDb.com customer:

Voyager started off on shaky ground, but gradually
levelled off into a good scifi show. It took TNG
forever to find its unique niche and identity, and
so it is for Voyager. It can be compared to the
original Star Trek, in its go-where-no-one-has-gone-before
identity.

Humor and drama, action and sometimes even horror
are well-balanced in Voyager, the characters started
off slightly odd but eventually became edgy but fast
friends with each other. Even Neelix, the Talaxian
who often looks as if he's wearing rejects from Quark's
wardrobe, has become a far more palatable and even
likable character.

If Neelix can make me laugh, then Voyager has its
niche. :) - ffordegroupie
