The second season of The Arrow, still not using the "Green"!!
Still a soap opera, still everyone having multitudes of problems!!
And each episode still has flashbacks to Oliver's time while he
was "lost at sea"!!

EPISODE # 1: CITY OF HEROES(Oct. 10, 2013):
Oliver has retreated to the island to get away from all the
crap from the previous season!! But there's new crap going
on, and Diggs and Felicity go there to try to talk him into
returning!! Roy Harper is trying to fill the shoes of The Arrow,
Oliver's mother is being arraigned in court for her part in
the destruction of the Glades & there's a large company trying
to take over Queen Enterprises!! A-
EPISODE # 2: IDENTITY(Oct. 9, 2013):
There;s a faction hijacking medical supplies headed for the
Glades, and Roy and Oliver make it a point to try and stop
them!! Meanwhile, Laurel's sister suddenly appears, not as
sister gone for five years, but another vigilante out to do
good!! A-
EPISODE # 3: BROKEN DOLLS(Oct. 23, 2013):
An extremely disturbing episode, with an escapee from prison
making up for lost time, and trying to get revenge on the man
who put him behind bars, Lt. Lance!! More on the trial of
Oliver's mother!! A-
EPISODE # 4: CRUCIBLE(Oct. 30, 2013):
Sara Lance shows up again, as the vigilante known as The Canary!!
She and The Arrow are trying to stop a madman known as the
Mayor who's running guns into the Glades to wage a war against,
well, everyone!! A-
EPISODE # 5: LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS(Nov. 6, 2013):
Sara tells the group where she's been for the last five years, forced
by the fact that the "League Of Assassins" have vowed to kill her
family if she doesn't go back with them!! More on Moira's plight
in jail!! A-
EPISODE # 6: KEEP YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER(Nov. 13, 2013):
Dig is asked to rescue his ex-wife, Lyla, who is being held in
a Russian prison!! Oliver, Felicity and Oliver's new business
partner tag along!! A-
EPISODE # 7: STATE V. QUEEN(Nov. 20, 2013):
The final verdict for Moira's trial!! Also, The Count is back
and has infected several people with a plague!! A-
EPISODE # 8: THE SCIENTIST(Dec. 4, 2013):
And here we have the first pairing of The Arrow and The Flash,
kinda!! Barry Allen shows up to investigate an unusual criminal
who's stolen a centrifuge from Oliver Enterprises!! This starts an
arc about Brother Blood, who's responsible for the theft and for
the injury to Roy Harper!! A-
EPISODE # 9: THREE GHOSTS(Dec. 11, 2013):
Continuing the arc about Brother Blood, this finds Oliver
infected by a weird drug and he starts having hallucinations!!
Again, Roy gets into a lot of danger here!! A-
EPISODE # 10: BLAST RADIUS(Jan. 15, 2014):
Another new face, Shrapnel, is out after, well, I never knew
what, by setting bombs all over the city!! Oliver and co. are
tasked to stop him before he kills his friend, Sebastian Blood! A-
EPISODE # 11: BLIND SPOT(Jan. 22, 2014):
Roy has super strength and wants to use it for good, but
he has a problem controlling his temper, which makes for
a bad hero!!! Laurel has suspicions about Sebastian, and
asks The Arrow for help finding out more about him!! This
does not turn out quite the way she's hoping for!! A-
EPISODE # 12: TREMORS(Jan. 29, 2014):
Oliver has taken Roy under his wing and is trying to teach him
how to control his new found strength, and the anger that's
associated with it!! Meanwhile, Laurel's dad is trying to help
her through some rough times!! And as if that's not enough,
The Bronze Tiger breaks out of jail and steals a copy of the
earthquake machine!!! A-
EPISODE # 13: HEIR TO THE DEMON(Feb. 5, 2014)
Laurel continues to spin out of control!! Lance and Oliver
are trying to convince Sara to stay in Starling City and
re-connect with the family!! But an old colleague of her's
has other ideas for Sara!! A-
EPISODE # 14: TIME OF DEATH(Feb. 26, 2014):
The Clock King is back and raising havoc in the city, and
Oliver, Sara and the rest are out to stop him!!!! A-
EPISODE # 15: THE PROMISE(Mar. 5, 2014):
The back story about the island and the current story of
Oliver and Co. start to mesh pretty closely!! Slade Wilson
suddenly shows up in Central City at the Queen's house,
giving a donation to Moira's campaign for Mayor!! This is
the start of his promise to Oliver to make him suffer!! A-
EPISODE # 16: SUICIDE SQUAD(Mar. 19, 2014):
Diggle is asked to head up a group that's going to go to
try and stop a warlord that he knew from Afghanistan from
creating a deadly toxin!! This team is made up of inmates
that, for the most part, The Arrow and Diggle put into
prison! A-
EPISODE # 17: BIRDS OF PREY(Mar. 26, 2014):
Helina returns(she was in Muse Of Fire and Vendetta)
to try to kill her father who's just been arrested in Central
City!! A-
EPISODE # 18: DEATHSTROKE(Apr. 2, 2014):
Slade Wilson is dressing up for the part, and they now call
him Deathstroke!! He continues his revenge plan on Oliver!!
Also, Oliver's new partner in his company is trying to take
over the company!! A-
EPISODE # 19: THE MAN UNDER THE HOOD(Apr. 16, 2014):
Oliver's torn between his battle with Slade and the family
problems that just keep mounting up on them!! Laurel and
Thea start finding out more information on secrets within
the family and friends!! A-
EPISODE # 20: SEEING RED(Apr. 23, 2014):
Roy goes nuts after being injected with the crazy drug that
Slade is trying to mass produce!! A-
EPISODE # 21: CITY OF BLOOD(Apr. 30, 2014):
Slade has created a mass army of overly strong dudes that
Sebastian is planning to unleash on the city!! Oliver is
determined to surrender to Slade to try to protect everyone
he cares about!! A-
EPISODE # 22: STREETS OF FIRE(May 3, 2014):
The siege has begun on Central City by Slade and Sebastian!!! A-
EPISODE # 23: UNTHINKABLE(May 14, 2014):
Slade kills another person close to Oliver, he is pushed to the
limits to try to stay true to his word about not killing any more!! A-

I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot episode, and not being
a comic book fan didn't feel lost at all. The story is
set up extremely well, and you can see there is clearly
a lot of potential there and a lot of places they can
explore if they so desire. Along with "last resort"
this was the best new pilot that i have seen in a
while. I can see this running a long time, as it
strongly reminds me of Nolan's Batman series and
is completely different to the green arrow offered
up in "Smallville" which i also thought was pretty
good in its own unique way. The darker grittier
Green Arrow is a much better one and i prefer
the way he isn't being portrayed as someone who
is extremely nice to everyone and only uses
violence when its the only way out like a
"batman" sort of character. You can also see
how what happened at the start has affected
him and the difference is portrayed well by
the other cast members; all of whom seem
to be suited to their respective roles.
It is too early to say whether this is gonna be
around for ages and be known as the best
comic book to TV show adaptation, however
if the show can continue its quality that was
shown in the pilot episode then the future
is green for Arrow! - Matthew Hutchings
