ARROW SEASON 5
Season five starts out where season four left off!
Having watched season 4 over ten years ago, I decided to re-
watch the last episode, "Schism', of season four again to
get re-aquinted with the show and where it was when I stopped
wathcing it!!
EPISODE # 1: LEGACY(Oct. 5, 2016):
With Diggs and Theo gone, Oliver takes it upon himself to
defend the city! Of course, Felicity is there to help him
out!
A new big baddie shows up and GA is determined to take him
down even if he has to do it on his own! Felicity is really
pushing for Oliver to form a new team! By the end of the
episode, he begins to think she may be right!! A
EPISODE # 2: THE RECRUITS(Oct. 12, 2016):
So Oliver starts his recruiting with mixed results!!
Guest starring Michael Dorn(Star Trek: TNG, DS9)(voice only)!! A
EPISODE # 3: A MATTER OF TRUST(Oct. 19, 2016):
One of the newbies screws up and creates a super-villian!
The big baddie of the season decides to use this mistake
to create an army of superheroes! Digs is stil in prison
for the frame up! In flash-backs, we see some more of Oliver's
back story! Thea casuses issues when she decides to hire a
new Deputy Mayor, and then she goes to a reporter and adds
to the problems! And Felicity tells Rag Man(what a stupid
name!) that she was the reason for his town's distruction!

EPISODE # 4: PENANCE(Oct. 26, 2016):
Oliver goes out to rescue Diggs, the rest of the team wind
up dealing with Church, and not too successfully!!! A
EPISODE # 5: HUMAN TARGET(Nov. 2, 2016):
Welp Chuch now knows that Oliver is GA through Rene!
We are inroduced to a new hero, Human Target!!
Oh, and Oliver gets killed! A
EPISODE # 6: SO IT BEGINS(Nov. 9, 2016):
It appears that the big baddie(Promethius) is after Oliver
for the people on the list that Oliver was getting rid of
at the starting of the series!! The rest of the "team"
find out about the whole thing! And they're pissed!

EPISODE # 7: VIGILANTE(Nov. 16, 2016):
And now we find out about the mole in the team!! A
EPISODE # 8: INVASION(Nov. 30, 2016):
Ok, so it's a really good idea to watch Season two: episode 8 of
Supergirl, "Medusa" which at the end of this episode it starts a
4 episode, 4 series arc, with season three, episode 8 "Invasion",
of The Flash the next part, Arrow Season 5, episode 8 "Invasion",
next then finish off with watching Season 2, episode 7 "Invasion",
of DCs Legends Of Tommorrow to get the whole story arc!!
The story arc for these:
Aliens are attacking Earth and Barry goes to Oliver, Supergirl
and the Legends Of Tomorrow to help him battle them!! A
EPISODE # 9: WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND(Dec. 7, 2016):
Laurel's back!! Ok, not really! It's her dopplganger, Black Siren!
And she's got some of them fooled, but not Felicity! Turns out
that Promelius has her under her control! The flashbacks are
really confusing! B+
EPISODE # 10: WHO ARE YOU?(Jan. 25, 2017):
Oliver has decided to find a replacement for Laurel/Black
Canary!
I absolutely hate the "power" that Black/White Canary use!!! A
EPISODE # 11: SECOND CHANCES(Feb. 1, 2017):
Oliver is sure that he can help the girl he's found to
turn her abilities for good! A
EPISODE # 12: BRATVA(Feb. 8, 2017):
The rogue general is in Russia trying to pawn off his
neuclear divice!!!! Oh, and it appears that Oliver's
new lady friend may not be exactly as she appears to be! A
EPISODE # 13: SPECTRE OF THE GUN(Feb. 15, 2017)
A loan gunman goes into City hall and several peoplle get
killed including the Deputy Mayor!! The whole crew go out
after him!! A very heavy episode!! A
EPISODE # 14: THE SIN-EATER(Feb. 22, 2017):
Three women excape from prison headed to Star City!! Also
the team is still tracking down Prometheus!
Also, The ACU tries to arrest GA for the death of Detective
Malone! And there's pressure coming from many different sides
of Oliver's life!! A
EPISODE # 15: FIGHTING FIRE WITH FIRE(Mar. 1, 2017):
So a very disgruntled girlfriend goes on the air and tells
all she knows, threatening Oliver's run as Mayor!! This is all
being orchestrated by Prometheus! A
EPISODE # 16: CHECKMATE(Mar. 15, 2017):
Oliver goes to his formeer trainer's lair to find out who
Prometheus is(of course we all already knows!)! He's playing
a cat and mouse game with Oliver, with Susan Williams in the
middle!! B
EPISODE # 17: KAPIUSHON(Mar. 22, 2017):
A good 70% of this is flashbacks to Oliver in Russia! The
rest is disgusting!!
Dalph Lundgren returns! D
EPISODE # 18: DISBANDED(Mar. 29, 2017):
Welp, with Oliver disbanding the team, why the Hell continue
the series?!!!
Oliver goes to the Bratva for help with Adrian!
Filicity's association with Helix takes a turn! B-
EPISODE # 19: DANGEROUS LIAISONS(Apr. 26, 2017):
With Chase now outed, he's now on an all out vendatta
against, well, everyone!!! Meanwhile Helix is pulling
Filicity's strings since she needs help finding Chase!
And in doing so, she "accidentally kills someone! B+
EPISODE # 20: UNDERNEATH(May 3, 2017):
After having gotten the device to track Chase, when Filicity
goes to use it, the bunker gets attacked by some sort of
electronic device that traps Oliver and Filicity, with
Filicity getting injured and not being able to walk!
Meanwhile, we all know that the real target is anyone associated
with Oliver!! A
EPISODE # 21: HONOR THY FATHERS(May 10, 2017):
Just when they all think they've got Prometheus, they don't!
This is all about his and Oliver's fathers!!

EPISODE # 22: MISSING(May 17, 2017):
By missing, this refers to just about eeveryone that Oliver
knows!! At this point, this story line is getting REALLY old!! A
EPISODE # 23: LIAN YU(May 24, 2017):
Now we have Oliver and a whole new crew on the island
of Lian Yu with the purpose of saving his whole team
and his son!! A

I thoroughly enjoyed the pilot episode, and not being
a comic book fan didn't feel lost at all. The story is
set up extremely well, and you can see there is clearly
a lot of potential there and a lot of places they can
explore if they so desire. Along with "last resort"
this was the best new pilot that i have seen in a
while. I can see this running a long time, as it
strongly reminds me of Nolan's Batman series and
is completely different to the green arrow offered
up in "Smallville" which i also thought was pretty
good in its own unique way. The darker grittier
Green Arrow is a much better one and i prefer
the way he isn't being portrayed as someone who
is extremely nice to everyone and only uses
violence when its the only way out like a
"batman" sort of character. You can also see
how what happened at the start has affected
him and the difference is portrayed well by
the other cast members; all of whom seem
to be suited to their respective roles.
It is too early to say whether this is gonna be
around for ages and be known as the best
comic book to TV show adaptation, however
if the show can continue its quality that was
shown in the pilot episode then the future
is green for Arrow! - Matthew Hutchings
