BATMAN(1966) SEASON ONE
This is the original, first ever, TV series about
The Dark Knight! This stars Adam West and Burt
Ward as Batman & Robin! Lasting a mere three
years, still there were over a hundred episodes,
as for a time these were a half our long and there
were two episodes per week! While this never was a
serious production, still, actors and other celebrities
where breaking down the doors to get a shot on this!!
Some of the quick shots were the likes of Bob Hope,
Paul Revere And The Raiders, Rob Reiner, Steve Allen,
Ted Cassidy, Dick Clark, Bill Dana, Sammy Davis Jr.,
Phyllis Diller, Jerry Lewis, Alan Hale Jr., Art Linkletter,
George Raft, Edward G. Robinson, Jerry Mathers,
& Henny Youngman!!
It's surprising that this didn't ever get nominated for
an emmy for the costumes!!

This starts out at the "Gotham City World's Fair"!!
LOL!! Obviously, NEVER HAPPENED!! Anyway, as for
the story, The Riddler is in town, and he's up to no
good!! His big plan: to humiliate Batman by having
him try to falsely arrest him! That way he can sue
Batman & Robin, and clear the way for his real crime!

The Penguin is out of prison and up to no good, first

he does it again, and again! He has no real plan, and is
expecting Batman to come up with a great caper for him!

Very interesting here: At the end of this episode, it says
"Next week, Batman faces The Catwoman"!! This was the
last episode of the season!! There was no "next week"!!! And
the first episode of season 2 wasn't about The Catwoman,
but instead about a villain called The Archer! A

Since my generation knows Batman either as a film noir
type (Tim Burton's and Christopher Nolan's movies) or as
something toyetic (Joel Schumacher's movies), it might
surprise us to learn that there was a campy '60s show
featuring the Caped Crusader and Robin. Whatever the
modern movies gave us, they don't give us zany puns or
graphics showing noises. You can bet money that they
had a lot of fun making this series. You're bound to
