GOTHAM SEASON 3
From the pages of DC comics, this is the early beginnings
Batman!! It focuses on a young Bruce Wayne, Alfred,
and James Gordon! It is hard to tell what time period
this is supposed to be, as it partially looks like it could
be from the 40s, which it really should be! But the cars
and other items make it more modern! Quite well done!!
THE FIRST FOURTEEN EPISODES ARE ALL UNDER THE HEADING
OF "MAD CITY":
EPISODE # 1: BETTER TO REIGN IN HELL....(Sept. 19, 2016)
Having been on a break from the series for 5+ years, it's
going to take some time to step back into this!!
Jim has become a bounty hunter, Oswald taunts him
to go after Mooney! Bruce and Alfred discover a plot
to take over his company! Alfred gets attacked and Bruce
gets kidnapped! A
EPISODE # 2: BURN THE WITCH(Sept. 26, 2016):
Jim works with Vickie Vale to try to find Selina so they
can find Fish! After her "accident" Ivy finds herself
with strange powers!! A
EPISODE # 3: LOOK INTO MY EYES(Oct. 03, 2016):
The Mad Hatter shows up for the first time in the series!
He's in town looking for his sister! Oswald announces his
intentions of becoming mayor! Bruce has a visitor to his
mansion who just happens to look just like him!! A
EPISODE # 4: NEW DAY RISING(Oct. 10, 2016):
Salina is fooled by Bruce's imposter, Oswald awaits the
results of the election, Jim is hunint down The Mad
Hatter to get his hypnotism removed! A
EPISODE # 5: ANYTHING FOR YOU(Oct. 17, 2016):
The "Red Hood Gang" is back! They immediately go after Oswald!
Non real explanation on why yet! And he goes after them with a
vengeance! Turns out one of his own people are at the head of
the whole thing! Bruce goes to Jim for help with finding Ivy!
Bruce tells Salina how he feels! A
EPISODE # 6: FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT(Oct. 24, 2016):
Mad Hatter's back in this one! I'm not a big fan of his character!
Anyway, he's on a tear out after Gordon for who knows what reason! A
EPISODE # 7: THE RED QUEEN(Oct. 31, 2017):
Like I said in the last episode, not a fan of psycholocal shows!!
Hatter is still playing mind games with Jim! Bruce makes dinner
for Salina! B-
EPISODE # 8: BLOOD RUSH(Nov. 07, 2016):
Barns is going a little overboard with protecting the city! Bruce,
Alfred, Salina and several others are not in this at all! A-
EPISODE # 9: THE EXECUTIONER(Nov. 14, 2016):
Jim finds out about Barns' new hobby and Barns immediately goes
on a rampage to get rid of him! A
EPISODE # 10: TIME BOMB(Nov. 21, 2016):
Nygma kidnaps Butch and Tabitha! Mario becomes a target of persons
unknown! Salina and Ivy are antsy to get away from the Wayne
mansion! And here we learn about the "Court Of Owls"! A
EPISODE # 11: BEWARE THE GREEN-EYED MONSTER(Nov. 28, 2016):
Jim finds proof of Mario's infection and goes to try to take him
in when things go terribly wrong! Bruce, Alfred & Salina are
trying to obatin whetever is in the safe!! A
EPISODE # 12: GHOSTS(Jan. 16, 2017):
Falcone is out after Jim! Salina's mother is trying to make
ammends her!! The part with Jim and Lee makes absolutely no
sense whatsoever!!! B
EPISODE # 13: SMILE LIKE YOU MEAN IT(Jan. 23, 2017)
The Joker makes his return here! Salina finds out what her mother
is up to, Oswald is planning his revenge on well, everyone, and
a wierdo is taking over the Joker's face! A
EPISODE # 14: THE GENTLE ART OF MAKING ENEMIES(Jan. 30, 2017):
More roasting of Penguin's mind here!! Selina gets what Bruce asked
her to get! Lee goes to Jim and asks him to look into the disappearance
of Kringle! Great scene with Cupcake!! A
EPISODE # 15: HOW THE RIDDLER GOT HIS NAME(Apr. 24, 2017):
Nygma "kills" Penguin! Then he goes after Lucius Fox! Bruce is
replaced with his doppleganger! Oh, and Nygma re-names himself
"The Riddler"! A
EPISODE # 16: THESE DELICATE AND DARK OBSESSIONS(May 01, 2017):
Oswald teams up with Ivy, Jim teams up with "The Court", and
Bruce is teamed up with, well, we don't know who!! A
EPISODE # 17: THE PRIMAL RIDDLE(May 08, 2017):
Cobblepot goes to Fries to propose a team up between them!
Jim is still invetigating The Court!! Bruce is still being
held captive for whatever reasons! And Alfred has become
suspicious of the "Bruce" in the mansion! A
EPISODE # 18: LIGHT THE WICK(May 15, 2017):
Jim finds out the plan of the Court Of The Owls, but they're
on to him! Salina wakes up from her coma with Ivy's help!
Lee is still pissed off at Jim and thinks he's plotting to
destroy Gotham!! A
EPISODE # 19: ALL WILL BE JUDGED(May 22, 2017):
Salina attacks faux Bruce and he immediately takes her and
Alfred down! Lee's going nuts! Penguin and Riddler are both
in the same prison which we don't know where that is! The
only real problem with this show is that there are waaaaaayyy
too many bad guys in it! Also, this episode has a really stupid
ending to it!! B
EPISODE # 20: PRETTY HATE MACHINE(May 29, 2017):
Lee shoots herself with the virus, then burries Jim alive!
I fucking HATE these kind os shows!! F-
EPISODE # 21: DESTINY CALLING(June 05, 2017):
After the virus is let loose in Gotham, Jim is affected by the
shot, and Bruce under the control of the Court, things look pretty
bleak for Gotham!! And people are dropping like flies!!
This is a doouble episode coupled with Ep. 22 coming in at 1 &
1/2 hours! A-

Destiny Calling

This show is good on so many levels. The main topic is root of friendship
between Bruce Wayne and James Gordon from the time when Bruce was
just a scared kid who just witnessed murder of parents and James was a
police detective. We see how it all started, how they become more then
just a friends. Writers are committed to comic-book roots of stories and
all comic-book fans will enjoy the show. Many origin stories are shown and
it helps to understand nature of some characters in later movies and other
shows.
I am, personally, very pleased with Sean Pertwee portrayal of Alfred
Pennyworth although some people didn't like it. Producer did very good
job showing Alfred in different light, the one that we note used to. Very
protective and not so slow and uptight like the all other, older, versions
of him. Sometimes he is even cool Englishman.
Ben McKenzie as Gordon. I can say that he is just awesome. Through
the show you can see why later in career he was considered a legend
in the force. Sometimes you can compare him with Eliot Ness when he
go alone against all. All other actors did a great job with they characters,
best of them of course Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald "Penguin" Cobblepot.
All in all, the show is great, the actors are great, younger audience will
like the show for it's action and actors and older audience will like it
for complexity of stories and comic-book origins.
