Supergirl: The Complete Second Season
Even though they take a lot of liberties with the Supergirl lore,
this is non-the-less a pretty good series, at least so far! You
just need to forget about comic consistency!!
This has several almost well known guest stars in it, including:
the first Supergirl, Helen Slater(the movie Supergirl), the third
TV Superman/boy, Dean Cain(Lois And Clark: The New Adventures
Of Superman), Grant Gustin(The Flash), Lynda Carter(Wonder Woman),
Eddie McClintock(Warehouse 13, Bones), Julie Chen(Big Brother) &
Sharon Osborn(mmmm, Ozzie's wife)!
EPISODES 1: THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERGIRL(Oct. 10, 2016):
A new ship lands and brings with it several mysteries!
Linda/Kara is trying to decide her future, and she also
trying to work out her relationship with Jimmy! Oh, and she
has her first encounter with Superman, recueing a shuttle!
Oh, and someone's out after Lena Luthor! And we see the
beginning of Metallo!
This is not a great representation of Clark/Superman, at least
not yet!! A
EPISODE 2: THE LAST CHILDREN OF KRYPTON(Oct. 17, 2016):
A lot of tension between John and Clark makes Clark feel
that he needs to put space between them! Also, the new big
baddie, Metallo, is out after Clark and Kara!! A
EPISODE 3: WELCOME TO EARTH(Oct. 24, 2016):
The new alien shows his powers! The President shows up in
town and immediately gets attacked!! Are they connected, hmmm!
Turns out the new alien is found out to be Mon-El, who later
in the comics becomes part of the LOS!! Also showing up here
is M'gann M'orzz, the last woman from Mars! A
EPISODE 4: SURVIVORS(Oct. 31, 2016):
This one's about cage fighting involving aliens, and the
team are out to stop them!! By the way, the Green Martian
doesn't look anything like the comic book character!! A
EPISODE 5: CROSSFIRE(Nov. 07, 2016):
There's a new gang in town and they're using alien weapons
supplied by "Cadmas'! A
EPISODE 6: CHANGING(Nov. 14, 2016):
There's a new super-hero here - Guardian! And some of
this is pretty ubly!! Also going on: Johnn Jonzz gets
zapped and he has to rely on the other Martian on the
planet for a blood transfusion!! A
EPISODE 7: THE DARKEST PLACES(Nov. 21, 2016):
James gets framed for the murder of a robber! Kara gets kidnapped
and blackmailed by Cadmas, and for some unesplained reason, none
of the superheroes seem to be able to track the big baddies down!
And here we have the debut of Cyborg Superman!

EPISODE 8: MEDUSA(Nov. 28, 2016):
Kara goes to Lena Luthor to try to find out more about
her mother! Mon-El goes to the aliend bar and finds Cyborg
Supes, and the bar gets attacked by a gas that kills aliens
Ok, so it's a really good idea to watch Season two: episode 8 of
Supergirl, "Medusa" which at the end of this episode it starts a
4 episode, 4 series arc, wirh season three, episode 8 "Invasion",
of The Flash the next part, Arrow Season 5, episode 8 "Invasion",
next then finish off with watching Season 2, episode 7 "Invasion",
of DCs Legends Of Tommorrow to get the whole story arc!!
The story arc for these:
Aliens are attacking Earth and Barry goes to Oliver, Supergirl
and the Legends Of Tomorrow to help him battle them!!!

EPISODE 9: SUPERGIRL LIVES(Jan. 23, 2017):
This one's about slave trafficing by Roulette!! Oh, and the
pllace they're being trafficed to has a red sun!!!
An aside here, I absolutely hate the way they portray Mon-El
in this series! B
EPISODE 10: WE CAN BE HEROES(Jan. 30, 2017):
Livewiare escapes and Supergirl is out to re-capture her!
Mon-El goes out to be a superhero!!
Another ittitating part of this series is Supergirl's/Kara's
attitude toward James Olsen and Mon-El! There's only one word
that discribes her: BITCH!!

EPISODE 11: THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES(Feb. 06, 2017):
A White Maartian comes to Earth to capture and take M'gann
M'orzz back to Mars to punish her! A

Metalo breaks Lillian Luthor but Lena gets framed for it! A
EPISODE 13: MR. & MRS. MXYZPTLK(Feb. 20, 2017):
And now for my most hated character in all of DC!! A
EPISODE 14: HOMECOMING(Feb. 27, 2017):
Dean Cain returns as Jerimiah Danvers and while Kara and
Alex are very excited, Mon-El has his reservations!! A
EPISODE 15: EXODUS(Mar. 06, 2017):
Since stealing the list of aliens from the DEO, Cadmas
is going around kidnapping aliens!
Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher both appear here(they were Lois
and Clark in the series of the same name!), Kevin Sorbo
(Andomeda) also appears! A
EPISODE 16: STAR-CROSSED(Mar. 20, 2017):
Two stories going on here: a couple of new baddies comming
from space to make Mon-El's life Hell; a dude calling
himself Music Meister has snatched Kara and Barry Allen off
to a musical planet!!
Also going on is a lot of relationship issues!

A dude who used to work with Lena claims to have discovered

Alex is kidnapped and even though Kara and Maggie are having
issues they have to try to work together to save her! Mon-El's
mother is trying to work a deal out with Lena Luthor! A
EPISODE 20: CITY OF LOST CHILDREN(May 08, 2017):
A couple of aliens are having control issues!! Mon-El's mother
is still trying to destroy Supergirl and the Earth! A
EPISODE 21: RESIST(May 15, 2017):
With Rhea's plan now in motion and several ships carrying
more Daxamites are now on Earth and she plans on taking
over the world!! A
EPISODE 22: NEVERTHELESS, SHE PERSISTED(May 22, 2017):
And Rhea is pulling out all the stop by bringing Superman
into the fray!!!
This story line is as stupid as Batman V Superman!!

Season 1 was quite good and held well to the superhero genre.
Season 2 started well but drifted deeply into interpersonal
drama. Season 3 started the way season 2 ended, with less emphasis
on the superhero and deeply into character emotions/relationships
and social issues. These are important discussions, to be sure,
but I watch superhero shows to see action and fun, not for deep
emotion or for a critical societal expose.
Frankly I don't care who's straight, gay, engaged, in love,
depressed, happy or psychotic unless it directly relates to
the villain:heroine story line. Supergirl has, seemingly,
fallen to influences (pressures?) far from the original
comic book universe. It has become a soap opera. - ken-1273
