Supergirl: The Complete Third Season
Even though they take a lot of liberties with the Supergirl lore,
this is non-the-less a pretty good series, at least so far! You
just need to forget about comic consistency!!
This has several almost well known guest stars in it, including:
the first Supergirl, Helen Slater(the movie Supergirl), the third
TV Superman/boy, Dean Cain(Lois And Clark: The New Adventures
Of Superman), Grant Gustin(The Flash), Lynda Carter(Wonder Woman),
Eddie McClintock(Warehouse 13, Bones), Julie Chen(Big Brother) &
Sharon Osborn(mmmm, Ozzie's wife)!
EPISODES 1: GIRL OF STEEL(Oct. 09, 2017):
With Mon-El gone Supergirl/Kara is trying to deal with the
loss!! And truthfully she's just being an ass!! I'm really
starting to dislike this series!!
Adrian Pasdar(Heros) guest stars here in his first of four
episodes! Also here is Erica Durance(Smallville) in her first
of 10 episodes!!! A
EPISODE 2: TRIGGERS(Oct. 16, 2017):
We have a new woman with superpowers, but she doesn't know
how or why! There's also another using her powers to make
herself rich!! And Supergirl is still being a bitch!! B
EPISODE 3: FAR FROM THE TREE(Oct. 23, 2017):
This one's all about relationships! Particularly J'onn J'onzz
and Maggie Sawyer's fathers! A
EPISODE 4: THE FAITHFUL(Oct. 30, 2017):
There's a new cult in town and they are worshiping -
Supergirl!!! B
EPISODE 5: DAMAGE(Nov. 06, 2017):
The aftermath of the solution to get rid of the Daxamites
aparently has caused a residual affect on children to give
them lead poisoning! I'm pretty sure, before watching this
episode, that the true responnsibility lies on Morgan
Edge! We'll see! A-
EPISODE 6: MIDVALE(Nov. 13, 2017):
The sisters go to Midvale to try to bolster both of their
morales! While there they encounter some of their old memories!
Erica Durance(Smallville as Lois) guests here as Noel Neill!!! A
EPISODE 7: WAKE UP(Nov. 20, 2017):
And here we find out more about the woman with powers once
in a while! Also going on: A ship has been discovered under
the ocean!! Turns out it's from Saturn! And it has passengers!
One of them from Daxam!! A
EPISODE 8: CRISIS ON EARTH-X: PART 1(Nov. 27, 2017):
Anolther multi-series, multi episode crossover story that starts
with this episode of Supergirl(Season 3 episode 8), then episode
8, season 6 of Arrow, followed by The Flash(4/8), then ending with
DC's Legends Of Tomorrow(3/8), all of which are titled Crisis On Earth-X!
Barry and Iris are planning their wedding when it is interrupted
by Nazis from you guessed it: Earth X!!
This has so many of the cross-over DC heroes in it:
The Green Arrow, The Flash, the team from DC's Legends
of Tomorrow along with all of their sidekicks!!!
This also has the Greatest American Hero in it: William
Katt!! A
EPISODE 9: REIGN(Dec. 4, 2017):
So the new BB shows her hand and Supergirl has all that she
can handle trying to stop her! Mon-El and Saturn Girl are
here to make matters worse for her mental health!! A
EPISODE 10: LEGION OF SUPER HEROES(Jan. 15, 2018):
With Supergirl in a coma, Mon-El, Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5
of the Legion of Superheroes have to take up the slack, while
meanwhile trying to revive Supergirl!!
As an asside here, you'd think(or at least I'd think) that
with a name of LOSH that a lot more of the members would
show up!! Like Chamelian Boy, Triplicate Girl/Duo Damsal,
Sun Boy, Ultra Boy, Lightning Lad, Invisible Girl etc!! A
EPISODE 11: FORT ROZZ(Jan. 22, 2018):
Supergirl rounds up an all-girl team to go to Fort Rozz(duh)
to try to find information on the BB! No men because of the
atmosphere that's lethal to men(of course, anything to get men
out of the picture!! This is the main thing that really bugs
me about this series! That and the fact that Supergirl is
portrayed as a bitch!!)! A
EPISODE 12: FOR GOOD(Jan. 29, 2018):
The continuing saga of the BB and her alter ego!!
An interesting asside here: one of the characters here mentions
as a kind of toss off remark that cutting off caffien can lead
to memory loss!! Bunna have to look that one up!! A
EPISODE 13: BOTH SIDES NOW(Feb. 05, 2018):
The team are now hunting down the other BBs!!! A
EPISODE 14: SCHOTT THROUGH THE HEART(Apr. 16, 2018):
Winn's father dies and it makes for a rough time for Winn!
His mother is trying to re-conect with him and he is totally
against it!! A
EPISODE 15: IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME(Apr. 23, 2018):
J'ohnn is trying to cope with his father's ailment! Samantha
finds out that she's the BB!!! A
EPISODE 16: OF TWO MINDS(Apr. 30, 2018):
Several things going on here: J'onn's father is having an
affect on the people around him(Think the TNG episode "Sarek"),
Lena is trying to help Samantha, Mon-El is trying to treain
Supergirl!! A
EPISODE 17: TRINITY(May 07, 2018):
With the three BBs now joined together, their plan is hatching!
Meanwhile the team is pretty pissed at Lena for her role in all
thie!! A
EPISODE 18: SHELTER FROM THE STORM(May 14, 2018):
Reign is on the hunt for Ruby and the team is trying to keep her
safe!! A
EPISODE 19: THE FANATICAL(May 21, 2018):
The saga continues! A
EPISODE 20: DARK SIDE OF THE MOON(May 28, 2018):
Supergirl and Mon-El go to a meteor to try to get a way to
help Sam get rid of Reign! When they get to the astroid, the
discover there's a city there, Argo, and it has people in it!

EPISODE 21: NOT KANSAS(June 04, 2018):
With Kara and Mon-El in Argo City, Kara begins to think that
maybe that's where she should stay! Some of the guns that the
group uses have found their way to bad guys!!! Back to Kara,
someone's out after her in Argo!! A

Reign is back with a vengence! A

Season 1 was quite good and held well to the superhero genre.
Season 2 started well but drifted deeply into interpersonal
drama. Season 3 started the way season 2 ended, with less emphasis
on the superhero and deeply into character emotions/relationships
and social issues. These are important discussions, to be sure,
but I watch superhero shows to see action and fun, not for deep
emotion or for a critical societal expose.
Frankly I don't care who's straight, gay, engaged, in love,
depressed, happy or psychotic unless it directly relates to
the villain:heroine story line. Supergirl has, seemingly,
fallen to influences (pressures?) far from the original
comic book universe. It has become a soap opera. - ken-1273
