THE FLASH(2014) SEASON 3
The third season of the series brings back most all of the
cast from the first two seasons, whether they're alive or dead!!!
EPISODE 1: FLASHPOINT(Oct. 4, 2016):
Picking up where last season left off, this shows how Flash
got rid of the singularity with the help of a couple of others!!
And of course, we have a new baddie, Atom-Smasher!! Oh,
of course, as with The Arrow, nothing is ever permanent, not
even death!! And Barry has decided he needs to work alone
because he blames himself for Ronnie's death!!
Guest starring the first Flash, John Wesley Shipp as Barry's dad! A
EPISODE 2: PARADOX(Oct. 11, 2016):
And then there's the original, ORIGINAL Flash, Jay Garrick(from
the 1940's, which is explained by calling him from another world,
another Earth, which was later on in the comics referred to as
Earth 2)!! He's shown up here to warn Barry that Zoom is coming
to kill Flash!! Only thing is, he doesn't do this himself, he brings
meta humans with him, and blackmails them that the only way
that he'll get them home is to kill The Flash!!
As a side story, there's a certain Patty Spivot that's trying to join
the Anti-Meta-Human Task Force!! A
EPISODE 3: MAGENTA(Oct. 18, 2016):
A couple of returnies here!! Captain Cold and his sister are back,
but there seems to be something off here!! His sister goes to
Flash and company to get help because her brother has been
kidnapped!! When tracked down, Snark insists that Flash leave
him and his father alone!! Turns out that his father is a much
meaner dude than the rest of the family!! Also, Joe's ex is back
in town, only he's told everyone that she's dead!!
Guest starring here is Michael Ironside(Total Recall, Top Gun,
Starship Troopers, Smallville, V)! A
EPISODE 4: THE NEW ROGUES(Oct. 25, 2016):
A lot going on here!! Without Ronnie to fuse with, the good
Dr. Stein is dying because of overload!! Iris decides not to
have anything to do with her mother, and her mother tells
Joe why she's come back to be a part of Iris' life! And the guy
that they thought would be able to help Stein is going out of
control!! A
EPISODE 5: MONSTER(Nov. 1, 2016):
So, as I've said no one here stays dead forever!! Back now
is the good/bad Dr. Wells!! Only this one, like the Flash from the
last few episodes, is from Earth 2!! And it seems this one is just
as much an ass as the first one!! Anyway, supposedly he's here
to help the guys get rid of Zoom!! And Barry finally asks Patty out,
but just before they're to meet up, he gets blinded by another
meta here to kill Barry!! To be able to go on the date, Cisco puts
together some sunglasses so he can help walk Barry though the
date!! Meanwhile, the Dr. Light sent to kill Barry turns her sights
on her doppelganger instead, and goes after Linda here on
our Earth!! A
EPISODE 6: SHADE(Nov. 15, 2016):
Barry talks to Dr. Light to try to set up a trap to get Zoom!!
However, she escapes, and all Hell breaks loose!! And there's
a lot going on between Patty & Joe! Patty thinks that Joe is
hiding something from her because he's mad at her, and of
course Joe IS hiding stuff from her, but for the usual reasons!!
And now with Dr. Light gone, Linda volunteers(kinda) to take
her place with a rigged up apparatus put together by Cisco!!
A side, side note here, Cisco has become attracted to a barista
at a coffee shop, and they are getting closer and closer to going
out!! The girls name is Kendra Saunders, who is later to become
Hawkgirl!! What doesn't jell here is that Hawkgirl was married to
Hawkman!!! Hmmmmm, what's up with that!!!???? A
EPISODE 7: KILLER FROST(Nov. 22, 2016):
So, with Barry recovering from being paralyzed from the waist
down, the super hero work falls on the rest of the team!! While
out with Kendra, Cisco discovers that she is going to become
Hawkgirl!! While later that same day, the good Gorilla Grodd
makes his first appearance here!! He gets control of a doctor
who takes a serum just so Grodd can't take it from him!! And he
does this again and again!! A
EPISODE 8: INVASION!(Nov. 29, 2016):
Ok, so it's a really good idea to watch Season two: episode 8 of
Supergirl, "Medusa" which at the end of this episode it starts a
4 episode, 4 series arc, with season three, episode 8 "Invasion",
of The Flash the next part, Arrow Season 5, episode 8 "Invasion",
next then finish off with watching Season 2, episode 7 "Invasion",
of DCs Legends Of Tommorrow to get the whole story arc!!
The story arc for these:
Barry's trying, with the help of his friends, to get faster and stronger!!
Meanwhile, there's a new bad dude in town calling himself Vandal
Savage! And he's REALLY mean!!!! Barry goes to Oliver Queen(Green
Arrow) for some assistance!! And Vandal's out after Kendra!! A
EPISODE 9: THE PRESENT(Dec. 6, 2016):
Iris finally comes to Barry to tell him about the fact that she
knows that she has a brother!! And as an early Christmas present
Weather Wizard returns to cause a lot of problems, and the weather
is only a small part of it!! He goes and breaks out Captain Cold and
The Trickster from prison!! And of course they are all after Flash
and crew!!
Returning guest star is the ever great Mark Hamill as The Trickster!! A
EPISODE 10: BORROWING PROBLEMS FROM THE FUTURE(Jan. 24, 2017):
It seems that there's a dude stealing things by slowing everyone
else down!!! This gives the group an idea about how to defeat
Zoom! What they don't know is that the good Dr. is being blackmailed
into stealing Flash's speed!! Barry wants to tell Patty that he's the
Flash, but before he can the Turtle kidnaps her!
This is a really crappy representation of Wally West!!! B-
EPISODE 11: DEAD OR ALIVE(Jan. 31, 2017):
And, just like the title says, we have another returnie here!!
The Reverse Flash shows back up and things get really crazy!!
The relationship between Barry and Patty comes to a head,
the group has to deal with Reverse Flash, and Cisco is getting
more into his abilities and it becomes something that's killing
him!! Oh, and Jay is getting sicker and sicker!!
An interesting side note here: Amanda Pays plays the character
Dr. Christine McGee, which she also played in the first TV series
The Flash!! This is the series in which John Wesley Shipp(Barry's
father in this series) plays The Flash!! A
EPISODE 12: UNTOUCHABLE(Feb. 7, 2017):
As this opens, we see the beginning of a new meta human!!
A couple of thugs throw a dude into vat of tar, and then the
Star Labs accident hit, turning him into a meta called Tar Pit!
Also going on, Wally West is becoming more of a fixture around
the West household, but he's still being a bit rebellious!! And
sister Iris is very worried about him street racing! Oh, and one
more thing, Dr. Wells has come up with a device to steal Barry's
speed!!!! A
EPISODE 13: ATTACK ON GORILLA CITY(Feb. 21, 2017):
With the cat out of the bag about Dr. Wells and Zoom, Barry and
Cisco go through the portal to Earth 2 to try to help Wells save
his daughter, not to mention all of Earth 2!!! Of course, no one
is the same here as it is on good old Earth prime!! Jay gets involved
on Earth prime to try to catch some bad guys as The Flash!!
This has some really cool graphics, and music!! A real throw
back to the forties!! A
EPISODE 14: ATTACK ON CENTRAL CITY(Feb. 28, 2017):
With Barry captured, the rest of the Earth 2 team is out to help
him and Dr. Wells' daughter escape!! And back on our Earth, there's
big problems with the breach and the team there are trying to fix
it!! Side story, Caitlin has found the answer to the problem with
the formula for Jay, and he's now able to help out!!
Just a side note here, I'm not a huge fan of a whole season devoted
to one super-super villain!! And this is a perfect example of this!! A-
EPISODE 15: THE WRATH OF SAVITAR(Mar. 7, 2017):
The big fish is back!! And Jay is gone!! Also back is Wally!
All the guys who went to Earth 2 are afraid to divulge any
information on what they observed while there!! This is putting
a huge strain on the relationships here!! Meanwhile, Lyla
and Digs from Arrow are in Central City to warn Barry
and the group about the big fish!!
Oh, and we finally see who Zoom really is!! (Shock Of Shocks!!
I had this nailed from the day he showed up)!!!! LOL!! A
EPISODE 16: INTO THE SPEED FORCE(Mar. 14, 2017):
There's a new dudette that's faster than a speeding bullet!!
And Iris' new boss wants her to write up a story about the
fact that the Flash has gone rogue and turned to crime!!
Of course we all know it's not him, but Iris is in a pickle
because she knows the truth but can't share it with anyone!!
And Barry finds out about the speed drug and isn't happy
that he hasn't been told before!! And of course the answer
is staring them right in the face, but Caitlin doesn't want to
believe it!! One more little tid-bit, Cisco "vibes" Zoom and
discovers that he's Jay!! A
EPISODE 17: DUET(Mar. 21, 2017):
This is a continuation of the story from Supergirl: S2/E16 "Star
Crossed"!
The characters from both The Flash and Supergirl find themselves
transported to a musical planet by a dude calling himself Music
Meister!!
Guesting here are: Chris Wood(Mon-El from Supergirl) & Melissa
Benoist(Supergirl)! A
EPISODE 18: ABRA KADABRA(Mar. 28, 2017):
This starts out with a flash back to Earth 2 and how Flash
on that Earth came to be!!! Then goes into Flash making it clear
that he's not giving up on getting back to Earth 2 and taking down
Jay/Zoom! They ask Cisco to help out by using a an enhancer
to open/re-open one of the gates!! He gets a "vibe" about Zoom
and backs out at the last moment because he's afraid he'll turn
"dark side"!!
This story line is really getting old for me, not to mention what
they've done to Jay Garrick's legacy!!! A
EPISODE 19: THE ONCE AND FUTURE FLASH(Apr. 25, 2017):
Wells tries to reconcile with his daughter, Barry tries to
cope with his no powers problems, Jay wants Caitlin to
love him, and Wally wants to meet with Flash to tell him
thank you!! One more thing, Caitlin is dealing with Killer
Frost! Oh, and Dr. Wells is kidnapped by another meta,
Griffin Grey!! A
EPISODE 20: I KNOW WHO YOU ARE(May 2, 2017):
Dr. Wells decides that to help the Flash get back his powers,
he needs to re-create the particle accelerator experiment
that started the whole mess with meta humans to begin
with!! This, of course, has the earmarkings of a disaster
waiting to happen!!! Also happening, Cisco's brother shows
up here!! Oh, and goody goody, Zoom's back in this one!! One
more detail, Rupture is another meta dude from Earth 2
that looks just like Cisco's brother! A
EPISODE 21: CAUSE AND EFFECT(May 9, 2017):
So, Jay is now reigning havoc on Central City with his army of
meta humans that he's assembled!! And Caitlin has been
released, but Jay's promised to show her no mercy when he
and his army run into the group again!! Wally is bound to
make himself worth while by going after bad people!! B
EPISODE 22: INFANTINO STREET(May 16, 2017):
More crap with Jay trying to make Barry feel useless!! His
army is reigning terror throughout the city, and Barry decides
it's time it's stopped!! With the teams help they come up with
a plan to take down all the metas in one fell swoop!! Wally
is still trying to be a knight in shinning armor!! And Joe is
worried about him!! Laurel Lance's doppelganger from Earth
2 is causing the most havoc!! I HATE this episode!!!! D
EPISODE 23: THE FINISH LINE(May 23, 2017):
And of course this doesn't get any better!! At least not til the
end!! Things wrap up pretty good, but it's still a little weird!! A

the flash was a pretty good adaptation of the
comic books and it really is a shame that it got
canceled so fast . the acting was pretty good
and the characters were pretty close to their
paper counterparts. all in all a decent show
and a better adaptation of a comic book into
a series than any other so far ( that includes
the not too bad but too girlie adaptation of
superboy in WB's smallville ) - ruthven1974
