WONDER WOMAN(1977-1978) SEASON TWO SERIES PAGE

WONDER WOMAN(1977-1978) SEASON TWO

Wonder Woman starring Linda Carter and Lyle Waggoner! This season
moves from the 40s to the "present"(1970s)! This is too bad, as I
really enjoyed the ambiance of the first season!

EPISODES 1: THE RETURN OF WONDER WOMAN(Sept. 16, 1977):

Steve Trevor's son, Steve Trevor, is the new Amarican contact for
Diana Prince/Wonder Woman! This first episode shows new threats to
the world(replacing the Nazis in Season One)! In this one, the US
is proposing to build a nuclear plant in a country in South America
with said new threats trying to sabotage it!!

Guest starring here are Jessica Walters(Babylon 5 episode "Spider
In The Web", Dr. Strange[TV movie - 1978])! B+

EPISODE 2: ANSCHLUSS '77(Sept. 23, 1977):

One last round for Nazis, in this Steve and Diana go to the
South American country of "Cordova"(yup, no such animal) where
aparently Nazi Fritz Gerlichl is alive and well in said country's
capital city of "San Rafael" and planning fun stuff for the good
old USA, and the rest of the world!!

Guest starring: Mel Ferrar(Falcon Crest, Charade, husband of
the great Audrey Hepburn!)! A

EPISODE 3: THE MAN WHO COULD MOVE THE WORLD(Sept. 30, 1977):

A Japanese man who blames Wonder Woman for the death of his brother
uses a telekentic enhancing machine to get even with her!!

So far the best of Seasons One and Two!!

Guest starring: Lew Ayres(Earth II, 1930s-40s movie series of
Dr. Kildare, married to Ginger Rogers), James Hong(Big Trouble
In Little China, Blade Runner, Airplane!, Chinatown, Earth II,)! A+

EPISODE 4: THE BURMUDA TRIANGE CRISIS(Oct. 07, 1977):

The triangle strikes again! Ok, it's really a dude out to destroy
everyone who stands in his way of ruling the world!!

Guest starring: No known stars here! B

EPISODE 5: KNOCKOUT(Oct. 14, 1977):

This is a very poor episode which doesn't make any sense at all!
Even though there's a wrap up at the end, it still makes no snese!
probably the lowest of all the episodes!

Guest starring: No known stars here!! C-

EPISODE 6: THE PIED PIPER(Oct. 21, 1977):

A popular "singer" is using his teenyebopper fans to steal from the
guy who's putting on his shows!!

Turns out that Martin Mull actually sang his song in this!!

Guest starring: Bob Hastings(McHale's Navy, Kitty Foyle, most of the
recent incarnations of the annimated Batman series as Commissioner Gordon!),
Martin Mull(Clue, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman,
Fernwood 2 Night), Eve Plumb(The Brady Bunch) & Denny Miller(Wagon Train,
Tarzan The Ape Man)! B

EPISODE 7: THE QUEEN AND THE THEIF(Oct. 28, 1977):

There's a queen visitning the US and she's brought her crown jewels
with her! Steve and Diana are tasked with guarding her and them!!!

Guest starring Juliet Mills(Nanny And The Professor, sister of Haley),
David Heddison(Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea), John Colicos(Battlestar
Galactica, Star Trek: DS9[3 episodes], Star Trek: TOS episode "Errand Of
Mercy")! A

EPISODE 8: I DO, I DO(Nov. 11, 1977):

Diana's getting married, and NOT to Steve!!! Methinks there is more
going on here than meets the eye!

Guest starring Celeste Holme(Gentlemen's Agreement, High Society, Backstairs
At The White House), Henry Darrow returns!! A

EPISODE 9: THE MAN WHO MADE VALCANOES(Nov. 18, 1978):

Pertty much what it says, a dude has developed a method of making
volcanoes erupt at his will!!

Guest starring: Roddy McDowell(THE Roddy McDowall), Roger Davis
(Alias Smith And JOnes[he replaced Pete Duel after his death], Dark
Shadows)!! A

EPISODE 10: MIND STEALERS FROM OUTER SPACE PART 1(Dec. 02, 1978):

A follow-up, as it were, of the first season's two part episodes
"Judgement From Outer Space"! In this one Andros' son comes to Earth
to stop the Skrill from taking over the Earth!

Sadly instead of Tim O'Connor we have here Dack Rambo as his son
Andros!! I believe that the reason may have been because Time had
started work on Buck Rogers, but not sure!

Guest starrring: Dack Rambo (Dallas, The Guns Of Will Sonnett, The
Loretta Young Show)!

Continued in the next episode1 B+

EPISODE 11: MIND STEALERS FROM OUTER SPACE PART 2(Jan. 17, 1977):

Continued from the previous episode!!! B+

EPISODE 12: THE DEADLY TOYS(Dec. 30, 1978):

Scientists are being replaced with androids! The culprit: The
Toyman(not the one from the Superman comic book!!)! It all has
to do with them not helping Gorshin creat Project XYZ!!

Guest starring here is Frank Gorshin(Batman[1966] as The Riddler,
Star Trek: TOS episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield")!! A

EPISODE 13: LIGHT-FINGERED LADY(Jan. 06, 1979):

Diana plays a theif in order to stop a ring of theives that are
currently the reason for several large roberies!!!

his country! This is terrible!!!!!

Springfield(Singer, High Tide)!! C-

EPISODE 15: DIANA'S DISAPPEARING ACT(Feb. 03, 1979):

A man has found a way to turn lead into gold, albeit temporarily!!!!

From another reviewer at IMDb.com:

Lynda Carter's portrayal of Wonder Woman was one of the best
superhero performances ever. She really came across as a
super-powerful female, just as Lou Ferrigno came across on The
Incredible Hulk as a super-powerful green-skinned goliath. What
was even better was when Debra Winger guest-starred in three
episodes as WW's sister, Wonder Girl. Talk about a double dose
of babeness!!! - broadfoot
