INCREDIBLE HULK, THE SEASON 1
Marvel's Incredible Hulk in it's first season! Most people
know the story of David Banner, his accident, the "evil"
side of hime that is brought out from this accident, and
his battle to stop the change from happening!
Starring as David is Bill Bixby, and as the Hulk, Lou Ferrigno!
Also as main characters throughout the series are Jack Colvin
and Ted Cassidy(voice only)!
EPISODE # 1: PILOT(Nov. 04, 1977):
The story of the accident and David and his scientist pal
try to first figure out what happened, and then how to stop
it!!
Susan Sullivan guest stars as the scientist pal (Dr. Elaina
Marks) and Richard Keil show up for one scene as The Hulk(his
part was, of course, taken over by Lou but they had already shot
this scene and it made its way into the show!)! A-
EPISODE # 2: DEATH IN THE FAMILY(Nov. 27, 1977):
David is on the run and runs into a young gal who's is unable
to walk and helps her back to her home when she feints!! Soon
he's embroiled in a scheme where-in the girl is a heiress and
her mother is trying to get controll of the fortune!!
Guest starring here is Gerald McRaney(Simon & Simon) & William
Daniels(Captain Nice, Night Rider[voice of Kit], St. Elswhere,
Star Trek: VOY episode "Critical Care)! A-
EPISODE # 3: FINAL ROUND(Mar. 10, 1978):
David rolls into a new town and promptly gets mugged! Fortunately
for him, a wannabe boxer(named Rocky[!}) ust happens to be passing
by and helps him out! Turns out the boxer is in more trouble than
he knows as his boss is using him to run drugs! I don't really
care for boxing movies/TV stories and this one is not much better
than the others! But it's not terrible! B+
EPISODE # 4: BEAST WITHIN, THE(Mar. 17, 1978):
In this one, David makes his way to a zoo where he's trying to
learn from a animal doctor about controlling anger in animals!
Of course, there's shananigans going on there and he gets in
the middle of it all!
Guest starring here is Dabbs Greer(Invasion Of The Body Snatchers,
Little House On The Prarie) A-
EPISODE # 5: OF GUILT, MODELS AND MURDER(Mar. 24, 1978):
David is in a new town and this time he gets involved with a
love triangle where a woman gets killed and The Hulk gets the
blame, from her husband! David gets involved when he hears a
cry for help and goes to try to help!
Guest starring is Loni Anderson(WKRP In Cincinatti), Jerony Brett
(My Fair Lady, The sign Of The Four[1987], Hound Of The Baskervilles
[1988], The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes[TV - 1984], The Return
Of Sherlock Holmes[TV - 1986], The Case-Book Of Sherlock Holmes[TV -
1991], The Memoirs Of Sherlock Holmes[TV - 1994]) & Vince Howard
(Star Trek: TOS episode "The Man Trap")! A
EPISODE # 6: TERROR IN TIMES SQUARE(Mar. 31, 1978):
No real name guest stars here! This finds our intrepid "hero" in
New York, specifically an arcade where he's found work while looking
for a doctor there! Of couse there would be no strory unless there
was some drama, and in this one it comes in the form as a scubbag
who's charging for protection from everyone in the neighborhood!
The old folks in the area decide to take matters in their own
hands by taking him down themselves!! C
EPISODE # 7: 747(Apr. 07, 1978):
David is trying to get to Chicago from San Francesco to meet up
with a doctor there when the plane he's on is highjacked by part
of the crew trying to steal Egyption artifacts!! A
EPISODE # 8: THE HULK BREAKS LAS VEGAS(Apr. 21, 1978):
David is in Las Vegas in this one! He's working as a shill in
a casino when he gets wind of the fact that his boss is crooked,
and he gets involved(I know, shock!!)!!
This is shown as being in Las Vegas(circa 1978) supposedly at the
Sahara! Several shots of old Vegas are seen here!!
Guest starring here is Don Marshall(Land Of The Giants, Star Trek: TOS
episode "The Galileo Seven")! A
EPISODE # 9: NEVER GIVE A TRUCKER AN EVEN BREAK(Apr. 28, 1978):
(AKA: Duel Pt. 2??)
While hitchhiking our of Vegas, David gets picked up by a lady
who asks him to asks him to deliver a "birthday card"(which it
isn't) to her "boyfriend"(which he isn't)! Turns out he's gotten
himselfinto a trucking fued!!
While there are no big names here, some of the shots of the
truck chases are from the movie "Duel" with Dennis Weaver!!
This is definitely not one of the best episodes!! B+
EPISODE # 10: LIFE AND DEATH(May 12, 1978):
David runs into a pregnant woman on his way to geniticist for an
experimental process! Of course their paths cross again when he
finds out the the good dr. that he's going to is experimenting on
babie and he tries to warn the woman!
Starring here are Julie Adams(Creature From The Black Lagoon) & Andrew
Robinson(Star Trek: DS9 as Garak)! A
EPISODE # 11: EARTHQUAKES HAPPEN(May 19, 1978):
This episode takes some of its scenes from the movie Earthquake!!

there's an earthquake and The Hulk is the only hope!

Are Little Girls Made Of", The Danny Thomas Show) & Kene Holiday
(Matlock)!! A

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
THE INCREDIBLE HULK series was much like the series KUNG
FU -- a sympathetic humanitarian and seemingly meek outcast
rights wrongs using his very special abilities. However,
THE INCREDIBLE HULK ran for 5 years with only three regular
cast members. I am not sure if any other long running TV
drama ever had a smaller cast.
Interestingly, Bill Bixby's COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER
co-star Brandon Cruz appeared in the first season of the
HULK in the episode "747."
Bixby oozed charm and charisma, and made believable the
idea that he could so easily win trust and find employment
in a new town each and every week.
The music was exceptional. Among the best Hollywood TV
has ever produced. - Pro Jury
