THAT TOUCH OF MINK(1962)
A couple of heavy hitters in the movie field! Some
well known TV stars. Put them together and you get
"That Touch Of Mink"!!
Basic story is a well-to-do man(Grant) splashes
water on an unemployed girl(Day) while driving
down the road and feels responsible! He tries to
appologize to her and she's not having any of it!
Will they or won't they??!!
Not only with Cary and Doris, but this also has
John Astin(The Addams Family), Audrey Meadows(The
Honeymooners), Gig Young(The Rogues, two more Doris
Day movies: Teacher's Pet and The Tunnel Of Love)
and one of the best known unknown actors in all of
Hollywood, John Fielder(a very busy character actor
with over 190 film credits: 12 Angry Men, The Odd
Couple[movie], True Grit, one of his more famous
roles, Star Trek: TOS episode "A Wolf In The Fold"
and his most famous role, Piglet in all the Winnie
The Pooh movies and TV shows)!
To top it off, in cameo appearances are some of
the all-time greats of baseball: Mickey Mantle,

Very cute movie. It was very enjoyable and put a
smile on my face. It's obviously a bit dated, I
doubt there are many young, independant working
women that swoon over losing their virginity these
days. I even doubt it was quite like that back
in 1962. It's still very sweet and it would make
a good date movie.
I should also mention the movie looks beautiful.
Movies from this era tend to look great. The quality
of production in movies seriously declined the closer
