THE PLEDGE(2001)
A prett disturbing movie about a child killer on the loose
and Jack Nicholson's vow to find them! Really much better
than my rating, I just don't care for movies about kids
getting hurt! And OMG, WTF is up with the ending?!! D

First, I want to say that Jack Nicholson and Sean Penn are
two of the greatest actors of our era. Which makes "The
Pledge" somewhat strange. It's not a bad movie, just confusing.
With Nicholson as a detective trying to find a killer, the
movie delivers good performances from everyone, but I couldn't
really tell what the ending meant. Maybe if I saw it again,
I might understand it. See whether or not you can understand
it. Also starring Robin Wright Penn, Benicio Del Toro (happy
40th, Benicio!), Patricia Clarkson, Aaron Eckhart and Helen
Mirren; I guess that they're not embarrassed about this.
All in all, a very bizarre effort from all
