State Of The Union(2005):

After the first xXx starring Vin Diesel, this
is a HUGE let-down@!!!@!@! Ice Cube as
an actor? Nope!! It does still have Samuel
L. Jackson, but unfortunately he's not in
this a whole lot!

The main plot, someone attacks the home base
of NSA and Gibbons decides he needs a "meaner
dude" to help them with the who, what & why
of it all!

In this, as a reason for Cage not being in this
movie, one of the dudes says that he was killed
in Bora Bora!

Over-all, a movie that really should never
have been made, with extremely bad acting and
a weak plot! The decent action scenes are all
that help this movie! Even though it's not horrible,
just so-so! C+

I went in to watch this after reading how
terribly brainless and low brow everybody
said it was. Well, I got what I expected but
strangely that wasn't that bad after all. Yes,
the action is cartoonish, the one-liners are
cheesy but I already switched to James Bond
mode so it didn't bother me the least. In fact,
compared to some James Bond movies the plot
does make a little sense. I don't say that it's
L.A. Confidental, but way better than Die
Another Day, for example. As for Ice Cube:
I think he was cool. I don't know why everybody
complains about he not being able to act.
What's there to act? He's a Navy Seal. He
likes to act tough and cool. It looks ridiculous?
Sure, but it's at least entertaining. I don't
mind the women being bombshells, cars being
beautiful, explosions over that top, I mean
what's wrong with these in a James Bond
style movie? The ending is bit of a let down,

Return Of Xander Cage(2017):

This starts out with the "death" of a top NSA
agent! That gets Xander out of hiding to help
out to track down a world endangering device!
With Sam Jackson(very short appearance) and
Ice Cube(actor wannabe!), like the other entries
in the series this is based around action and
nearly no acting! But, it is extremely fun!! B+

a great Saturday afternoon action film. There
is not too much CGI and no stupid comic book
